4) There is no evidence anywhere of a militia able to resist an army without a class of professional warriors. For all intents and purposes militia (footmen) produce a picket around which cavalry (maneuver) seeks to exploit opportunities.

@HliosX @Ozpin_88 1) I am not assuming anything. I’m saying evidence is counter to it. For example, washington had left, right, and reserve wings in the army (my xth great grandfather commanded the 1775 left). The problem was that the non-professional army of riflemen was ineffective.

So your entire premise of voluntaryism is simply (a) contrary to all evidence in all cultures in all history (b) inherited from the late medieval town hall where all decisions were local. The solution is to return priority to the locality under rule of law, instead of federal.
