So just as your brain (to the extent you dumb fucks have one) performs trillions of parallel computations – yet we cannot examine or understand them given that complexity, the same is true of neotenic evolution that regulates the migration of growth stem cells away from the neutral tube. That regulation is largely responisble for slowing our development and maturity to provide the benefits of childhood non-aggression, for long enough periods of time that our neuology can develop intentional self regulation (executive function, agency). But this development that leads to our intelligence and ability to cooperate, is offset by the lost of persistent short term memory which is why chimps defeat us so thorougly.

@Communism_Kills Ashley – same here. But then, this is why we write in order to conduct formal speech, persuasion, and arument, and law – precisely because written prose launders expression and nuance from our presentation of spoken words.
It’s even more so in person. For this reason we develop trust by interpersonal speech, affiliation by public speech, and factual persuasion and deep argument by written means.
