Lee Kwan Yu once said there are two reasons for Asia’s economic success: state capitalism and the US Navy. Asia can’t go to war as long as the US Navy patrols the Pacific and South China Sea. This means that they focus on their lives rather than protesting on the streets, and on discussing things that most people have no clue about. I feel more free in East Asia than anywhere else in the world. It’s as important as the NPC meme. All states are turning to fascism (intolerant nationalism), and mixed economies, with the state investing in core industries, using fiat money (shares in the economy) as a money substitute, and therefore a means of providing incentive (pull) rather than direction (push).
