My practical solution and opinion opinion is that we are seeing the last generations of dogmatists, and that the vast body of ethically and culturally christian peoples would prefer a reformed church and a restoration of the separation of powers between the church (family and community: norms) and the state ( commerce, dispute, and warfare: laws ).
