  • The Relentless Snapping of the Ankle-Biter, or; Dissection of a Gamma Male.

From James Fox Higgins, The Rational Rise

Ankle-biting Gammas CAN’T STAND that you don’t care what they think of you. He thinks that sharing screenshots of my comments so he can rally his little army of white knights to leave more rude comments on my public page is going to hurt or dissuade me? šŸ˜‚ Tiring of someone’s bullshit and projection and kicking them off my lawn is not running away. It’s defence of my property, and protection of the commons. Continue Reading at Rational Rise…

  • Style: Hayek, Popper, Will Durant, Nietzsche.

[W]hen writing Natural Law, I have only four writers in mind Hayek, Popper, Will Durant, Nietzsche. And so I see my work as largely combining Hayek (content), Popper (analytic argument), and Hoppe (property as system of measure), and Durant(high prose) and Nietzsche(aphorism) in presentation. What results is a bias toward one of those authors.

    1. Reading Hayek is like listening to my internal voice. And of course, i followed the same evolution in my thought, for the same reasons, and ended up with the law – I just have the benefit of computer science where it came too late – instead of with Babbage with Turing.
    2. Popper taught me the analytic method – especially tables, lists, parentheticals, and uses of fonts.
    3. Durant writes in poetic form with a sensual vocabulary, elegant phrasing, in high style of the great european thinkers. His Lessons of History is both simple and elegant – despite his catholic idealism.
    4. Nietzsche is the master of aphorism, and I know I have finished my work on a subject when I can reduce it to narrative form, natural law form, and an uncompromising aphorism.

I will always owe the most directly to Hoppe, and the Encyclopedia Britannica. And indirectly to Turing and perhaps Minsky. A touch to Mokyr.

  • Soros Blinks – Europe is Over

This today from Georg Soros – enemy of western civilization.  Now, what he’s doing here is a typical game of pilpul and critique: he’s saying europe at all costs, when in  fact, germany is done either way because her prosperity is built on just car exports the same way america is build on just home construction.

Germans should consider the following thought experiment: withdrawal from the euro. The restored Deutsche Mark would soar, the euro would plummet. The rest of Europe would become competitive and could grow its way out of its difficulties but Germany would find out how painful it can be to have an overvalued currency. Its trade balance would turn negative, and there would be widespread unemployment. Banks would suffer severe losses on exchange rates and require large injections of public funds. But the government would find it politically more acceptable to rescue German banks than Greece or Spain. And there would be other compensations; German pensioners could retire to Spain and live like kings, helping Spanish real estate to recover.

This is the NYT in 2010 This is me in 2010.

  • Stalking Propertarians?

We are trying to figure out if the purge going on at Facebook is widespread, or if it is specifically targeting Propertarians. It is completely reasonable for Facebook to respond to recent shootings by over-reaching into political debate, especially when our central topic of conversation is the anticipation of preparation for, and production of a solution for, a second civil war. If however there is a group stalking us we are interested in understanding what story they’re fabricating. Thanks all. Everyone at the Institute.

  • @Sandstar @a Try not to be stupid please. It’s exhausting. WHICH DIRECTION GOES

    @Sandstar@a

Try not to be stupid please. It’s exhausting.
    WHICH DIRECTION GOES GAB?
Twitter, FB, Medium(Minds), Quora or *all of the above*?
The only difference is data size, and ‘card’ (display template), and visibility (permissions).

    I don’t know gab’s direction.
I just need a platform, and one that does all of them.
Because tweets, posts, articles, and Q&A are all part of the social sphere.
