    As long as (as in the hindu model, or the western model, or the chinese model) rotation is possible by achievement, absolutely nothing.

    The west had wild animal (barbarian), slave, serf, freeman, citizen, nobility, aristocracy under agrarianism. At present we have about the same hierarchy but military, commercial, and intellectual are in competition for the body politic (labor and women). SO the hierarchy goes in three directions, rather than one. And the three directions compete (gossip/talk, commerce/trade, law/force). At present the court mediates the market between the directions.

    The difference with castes is that you are justifying someone’s status by the beneficial function that they serve in society ,a nd preserving defense against outbreeding (downbreeding), and all sorts of ‘democracy’ and its religious equivalents.

    There is nothing bad about hindu religion at all other than the fact that they are weak, and lack sufficient middle class to produce courts free of familial corruption.

    I don’t like the silly mystical stuff. But that aside it’s a good system. Islam is the worst of all possible worlds. Equalitarian ignorance with mandated hostile aggression to perform consumption on the capital of other civilizations.

    What’s the difference between the people who dress up as fictional characters, or visit medieval festivals, or haunt dance clubs, and people who imitate jesus instead of Achilles, Alexander, Aristotle, or Odin?

    There isn’t any.

    I mean, tolkien created, quite purposefully, what was very close to a religious system using our old gods, rather than the semitic gods. He knew exactly what he was doing.

    I can get plenty of wisdom from “What would Gandalf do?” or ‘What would Bilbo Do?’.

    I just get more wisdom out of what would Achilles (Excellence, heroism, sacrifice, tragedy), Zeno (philosophy), Aristotle(science), Aurelius (politics), or Alexander (War) do ?

    The problem is, those are all ARISTOCRATS, or middle classes, and what should those that lack agency and ability do? They were slaves in the ancient world.

    We freed them, because freemen are cheaper to rule, and return a higher profit than slaves and serfs, and they want a narrative for those who are less able.

    Failing to produce it, they chose marxism (labor), postmodernism (academy/intellectuals/state), and Feminism ( women).

    What can we give those people that they can face their status class and social, reproductive, economic, and political lack of market value?

    Lies and false promises, or truth, goods, and services?

    Self Delusion feels good to the Faithful. Drugs feel good to the drug user. Stealing feels good to the thief. Murder feels good to the murderer. Just about anything we evolve a moral disposition against feels good. That’s why we limit it.

    Solving religion was the hardest problem. Truth was trivial by comparison. The reason being that we are less invested in truth (reason) than we are in intuitions (training).

    I solved religion. The question is, what can be done about it for the masses, when the purpose of faith is to circumvent reason and to relieve the individual of all sorts of calculation, particularly STATUS (self image), which is the human’s instinctual accounting system.

    So, people malinvest in religions (wisdom narratives) for the purpose of cognitive and signaling discounts, and as such they defend their malinvestments like they defend all forms of investment (property).

    Hence why religion is the ultimate test of Agency.

    No, I am limiting the imaginary (Fictions) to the non-harmful. 😉

    I write about the science and LAW of religion. What religions emerge from the science and consequential LAW is not something that terribly much bothers me.

    It just can’t be as destructive as the abrahamic religions, or as limiting as the hindu or buddhist, but must do the opposite: provide ability to act, rather than escape.

    Stoicism + Mythology + Literature + History will work.

    I WRITE SCIENCE OF LAW (TRUTH). It is a via-negativa. A set of LIMITS. WHat people do within those limits is simply another market for productive, fully informed (truthful), warrantied, voluntary exchange, absent imposition upon the accumulated intersets of others by externality.

    That which is OUTSIDE of the law violates one of those tests.

    Likewise, accepting supernatural authority without direct, testifiable, experience of the people and events, and miracles(magic) is an act of faith.

    Wherease due diligence in science is an effort to disprove a theory, not prove one. we cannot prove science. We can only find possibilities and seek to falsify them until we can’t. When we can’t falsify them (because of coherence, consistency, and correspondence, and explanatory power, and parsimony) then we have to admit to ourselves that it’s likely true.

    So its not true that one has ‘faith in science’ but one simply does the hard work of falsifying our fantasies such that only that which we cannot make false remains – that’s the entire point of scientific research: to perform due diligence against your imagination, by producing measurements that eliminate the possibility of your imaginings.

    The problem is that one can read either the research or other’s fictionalism or sensationalism of that research. And it takes great knowledge to understand such research, while only takes the mind of a child to understand mythology by intuition and imitation. So knowledge < wisdom < parable describe a means of graceful failure from those who possess knowledge and ability to those that possess neither.

    We can train people’s intuition many ways, and it turns out that abrahamic religion, like marxism, postmodernism, and feminism, is just the worst way possible.
