DO TANNING BOOTHS COMPENSATE AT ALL FOR LIGHT DEPRIVATION?

The whole melatonin thing kills me. 8000u of vitamin D seems to help but this time of year is murderous for me. Do tanning booths help? Or do I basically need to find a snow-scene and stay there in the sun?

OVERSING UPDATE : AMAZING PROGRESS

And it took a year to get the UI right. And it’s right. It just FEELS right.

Yes, you can use it for a small company, and yes, even as an individual it will help you significantly run queues of work, jobs and work orders, Agile and Kanban projects, WBS projects and our ‘mixed model’ of agile and WBS. Yes, you can do all those things. And you can even mix them together.
Yes, resourcing uses our funnel-model, so you can schedule out in the future and refine as you move closer to delivery.
yes, you aren’t treated as a dollar per hour piece of meat by oversing either. We track six or seven basic measures, including likability.
Those are all positives.
But you can also run your accounting periods, payroll periods, sales process, recruiting, career development, strategic initiatives. You can MANAGE your business with full transparency.
And it’s not this trivial little list-making nonsense you get from products like salesforce. And unlike Microsoft Dynamics, it completely hides the accounting functions. Unlike Jira/Greenhopper, underneath, first and foremost, it’s a financial package that lets you see your financial performance into the future.
THERE IS NOTHING ON THE MARKET LIKE THIS PRODUCT.

THE HBD MOVEMENT ATTRIBUTES TOO MUCH TO GENETICS
I agree that genetics play an enormous role in the biases of the polity. I disagree that we cannot create institutions that redirect those differences to mutually beneficial ends.
What I disagree with, is that any system of property rights is severable from the reproductive strategy of the people in the population.
Furthermore, I, unfortunately, agree with the eugenicists: redistribution so that the lower classes can outbreed the upper classes has no support in logic, morality, or history.
We can pay them not to have children. But we cannot pay them to have children.
THat’s what we do wrong.
One child per couple who requires benefits, with loss of benefits, and imprisonment, for breaking it, is the only moral solution to the problem of reproduction by those whose reproduction decreases the ability of the middle and upper classes to reproduce.

WHAT IF THE ARABS ARE RIGHT?
What if, Arabic Paternalism under Islam, is not the most backward reproductive family system – but in fact, the most mature? What if, as others have suggested, the Greeks invented inbreeding to keep property in the family as a reaction to the disintegrating state amidst urban diversity? And the arabs adopted it as part of their conquest of the eastern roman empire?
What if an individualistic, highly distributed division of labor and a mobile work force, is a reproductive ‘dead end’?
And that ‘their way’, with all it’s defects, is in fact, the natural course of all cultures as they mature?

LONG TERM STUDY ON MALE HAPPINESS
We all know this. I can tell just by looking at other men my age, almost all of whom look ten years older than I do. That is, ALCOHOL use has the greatest impact on your health and happiness. More so than ANY OTHER FACTOR.
I’m luck. I can’t really drink much. And when I do, it doesn’t take much. I can’t and don’t smoke. My preferred vices are food and stress (adrenaline). And despite what, four catastrophic illnesses I still look better than 90% of the guys my age.
I am quite certain that a shot of whiskey when you’re stressed is a good thing. But a habit of relaxing with alcohol is just another way to damage your body slowly – it’s almost as bad as cigarettes.

Um… Empirical means observable and verifiable. Not numeric. It’s just that we most often need numbers to verify our observations, due to the limits of our perception, cognition, and short term memory.
