If you know what it takes to go to ‘that place’ in your head, you can understand how difficult his life was. Free association like that requires training yourself for vulnerabilities most of us develop skills to avoid. It’s amazing that nature can creates such a creature, but you never would want to be one of them.

(They are stealing from the commons. If the common law does not provide a means of preventing them from stealing from commons, then we have no other alternative but violence. On never has a right to steal from the commons. Ever.)

ELI ON ALTRUISTIC PUNISHMENT
—“ALTRUISTIC PUNISHMENT: “I will bear a cost in order to impose a cost on someone for imposing costs on others.”
Directly, no one wins, it’s a lose/lose/lose; costs all the way around.
Indirectly, we all benefit from the maintenance of a normative commons that discourages people from imposing costs, negative externalities, on others or refraining from contributing to benefits, positive externalities, which are shared.
This is a common human behavior and it is impossible to understand human behavior, or the evolution of societies and polities, without understanding altruistic punishment.”—

If your civilization cannot produce material commons then you are less moral than those that can. This argument is inescapable. you are, by the more moral culture’s standards ‘an immoral people’.
Locusts. It’s not an opinion. It’s just fact.

THE RABBIT HOLE
Its far more profound than taking the red pill.
I keep thinking that I have found the bottom of the rabbit hole, but as soon as I get there, I see that it goes deeper.
Is it true that the purpose of literature is to obtain power, and the purpose of language is to obtain power, and the means by which we obtain power is to lie by loading framing and overloading?
Is all our verbalism merely deception to cover our acquisitiveness?
Is truth-telling the only possible means of both constructing the commons AND resisting the thieves?
