    William L. Benge just pointed out to me that “Dennett and Hawkins” have pretty much demonstrated the end of the Cathedral’s fallacy, and have moved beyond it.

    I think if you watch Dennett’s talk, then Haidt’s talk on moral blindness, then my talk on The Inter-temporal Division of Reproductive Labor. Then you begin to see the future : we act more like a set of hives than individually rational actors proposed by the greeks and the enlightenment.

    And when you grasp that, you will perhaps see the importance of both speaking the truth, the virtue of contracts, and the importance of prices, rather than unlimited free speech, the dream of reason, – and just about all that we have done during the democratic era under the fallacy of the rationally capable rational actor.

    Hive mind exists.

    I think it’s Skye Stewart who pointed us all to Daniel Dennett’s talk. It’s classicl Dennett: entertainment. But what we fail to see is that he’s working in the ancient paradigm of states and language rather than changes in state – the problem with philosophy writ large.

    It’s helpful that we can easily be tricked – that undermines our confidence. But it tells us little other how to play skeptical parlor games.

    By comparison Jeff Hawkins’ talks are algorithmic explanations of experience as on going changes in state for the purpose of forecasting the future so that we may act upon it.

    If I stated that understanding Hawkins, my work, and Haidt is pretty much the current state of knowledge I think that would be correct.

    Paradigms and the languages that reference them MATTER.

    I think I need to record a talk tying the three bodies of work together.

    And I think I will call it “childhood’s end”.

    Gossip: Ridicule, Rallying and Shaming: refuge of schoolgirls and libertines. Gossip is, after all, one of the three possible modes of human coercion. It is just the most dishonest. Force is honest. Exchange is honest. But gossip is not.

    Either construct an argument or admit that you cannot. That is what honest men do.

    But no. You see, Libertinism is merely a restatement of ghetto separatism – a feel good cult of incompetence for Pussy-tarians. Libertines. Free-riders on liberty created by the actions of others – the reason the liberty movement has failed.

    See? I even ridicule better than you do.

    So, do you want to stick to adult conversation, or are you going to jump up and down in your pink dress trying to rally real men to fight for you?

    Because that is the evolutionary origin of rallying and shaming.

    But it’s a hollow threat – libertines have no real men to call upon.

    The only reason your race is behind my race or any other race is the difference between rates of reproduction of the classes. Just as my race is behind or a head of other races because of our suppression or lack of suppression of birth rates at the bottom. That’s it.

    So fix it. Because until you do, racism will persist – and should. Because any other behavior is illogical. It is not the color of your skin or the shape of your nose, but the percentage of your population in the bottom half of mankind.

    Human life isn’t universally sacred. It’s just that anyone who demonstrates disregard for human life is a potential risk and threat to the rest of us. But just because disregard for life is dangerous doesn’t mean you’re worthy of redistribution – or even the consumption of oxygen. You’re merely a moral hazard for the rest of us.

    If you or your offspring can’t find a way to participate in production without externalizing your costs, then you aren’t a precious snowflake. You’re a moral hazard, and a drain on both humanity and the planet. And the source of the demand for a political class that exploits productive people to fund the dysgenic and unproductive.

    You cannot deny this argument without in turn demonstrating your racial bias.

    So control reproduction. A woman has no intrinsic right to bear a child, and a man no intrinsic right to spawn one.

    That is the only way we get to equality. Equality in fact, not in lie.

    And I agree: equality is a moral ambition.
