WHY DO AMERICANS SPEAK ONE LANGUAGE? CONQUEST

    1) Our various States used to be as different as european countries.

    2) The Civil War achieved in America what Napoleon and Hitler failed to achieve in Europe: monocultural conquest.

    3) The primary reason given for the civil war is usually over slavery, but this is propagandism. The civil war was a fight between the northern industrial civilization and the souther agrarian civilization, over the proceeds of the Louisiana purchase: the western territories. Had the secession succeeded, the new western agrarian territories would have aligned with the Southern states and preserved slavery. But moreover, they would have given political and economic control of the continent to the southern agrarians, and allowed the south to politically control the north. The souther solution was to sever ties and this would have been the least violent solution. The north could not tolerate this for *class* reasons (the northerners were from the middle english classes, and sountherners more likely from the lower scotts-irish.

    4) American political conflict is just as much between the “Nine Nations” of north america, as it is between urban and rural, and minority races and whites.

    5) My suspicion is that we will have a break-up of the united states in the next half century which will coincide with the recognition of the failure of the european union project.

WESTERN LANGUAGES: RELIGIOUS MYTH, MORAL POETRY, TECHNICAL (AMORAL) LAW, AND SCIENTIFIC POLITICS

I’ll translate this passage by Roger Scruton from religio-moral poetry into scientific language:

**The use of credit money to encourage hyper consumption makes us less directly dependent upon one another, more isolated from one another, and lacking the incentive to obtain status and self worth in the service of one another.

We have replaced civic society with selfish society, and culture with loneliness by the use of monetary dilution as a vehicle for increasing employment and consumption at the expense of creating a civic society.***

That’s about as scientific as you can make it.

(My job you know: translate our victorian, enlightenment, medieval, and archaic moral language into the language of science. Whereby it can be seen to have been scientific in content all along, even if it was structured as “the poetry of moral rhetoric.”)

Ergo, we either eliminate politicians by eliminating elections, or we eliminate truth in discourse, right?

COULD I PURSADE CHARLES MURRAY? I THINK SO.

Not that I’m of peer standing with Charles Murray, but I am still probably the most innovative political philosopher today, certainly the most nomocratic, and I seem to have a significant influence on the the alt-right.

And I would love to talk with Charles about how these questions might alter his position:

    1) the (empirical) possibility of the classical liberal “Aristocracy of Everyone”,

    2) whether truthfulness can be restored to political discourse if that project is impossible.

    3) whether representative government is demonstrably a ‘good’ (benefit or harm).

    4) whether intellectuals, politicians, financiers, merchants, or warriors, have the best record in the presidency. And what form of persuasive language that they use.

    5) whether when someone like Trump speaks he is using Hyperbole to exaggerate intertemporal contrasts, in the long tradition of generals (conservatives), it is preferable to using the language of ideology, philosophy, and law, to prevaricate on verbalisms regardless of consequences (progressives).

Because you see, trump talks like a general of old. And that is what the male population is resonating with. And all the intellectuals in the world do not realize that the left has succeeded in ostracizing the military and our generals from politics.

Leaving us only with public intellectuals(priests) and politicians. The warrior is gone from our lives, and we long for him.

We long for a world of clear actions and cautious limits intent on conserving capital, not encouraging words and optimistic beliefs intent encouraging hyper-consumption regardless of consequences.

In the end we all die. But in the end, truth, science, arts, our civilization, culture and kin can die with us.
