    LET ME CORRECT YOU

—Voters choose on the basis of partisan loyalties, and these days party voting has a much bigger influence on state and local elections than it used to—

    Voters vote their reproductive strategies.

Our parties increasingly reflect our reproductive strategies.

Because of Forced Diversity, reproductive strategies are the greatest determinant of political preference.

    This will never change.

    Can Finnish education be copied?

    by Tyler Cowen

—“The access to teacher training is highly competitive; there are ten applicants for every training place to become a primary schoolteacher. It does not seem to dawn upon those in Britain and the United States who want to implement the Finnish system that it would mean firing something like three-quarters of the current teachers”—

    http://marginalrevolution.com/marginalrevolution/author/tyler-cowen/page/4#sthash.N6mMjpiy.dpufFROM TYLER COWEN

In a paper just published in Science, Colin Camerer of the California Institute of Technology and a group of colleagues from universities around the world decided to check. They repeated 18 laboratory experiments in economics whose results had been published in the American Economic Review and the Quarterly Journal of Economics between 2011 and 2014.

For 11 of the 18 papers (ie, 61% of them) Dr Camerer and his colleagues found a broadly similar effect to whatever the original authors had reported. That is below the 92% replication rate they would have expected had all the original studies been as statistically robust as the authors claimed—but by the standards of medicine, psychology and genetics it is still impressive.

One theory put forward by Dr Camerer and his colleagues to explain this superior hit rate is that economics may still benefit from the zeal of the newly converted.

    OVERSING UPDATE.

Kirill has federation working. Meaning that you log into the central database ( Like Facebook) and then if you want your own instance you buy it in app. And switch between them as desired. We then propagate all your reputation stats to your central profile. The public system does not have monetary or financial features available but you can still run projects.

He is finishing up the websocket and queue modifications. Then he will hook up the payment system.

After that we have a bunch of usability issues that I have found while writing the documentation. And we have the one serious issue: including appointments on the Gantt chart. And the schedule panel just needs some fine work.

I found one today that killed me: if you enter time on a task, it adds it at the current moment.

You would expect that if you added time against an appointment that it would enter it during the appointment time.

But nope. It also adds it at the current moment.

    Sigh.

There are four ways of adding time.

    1) just like leaving a fb post on a task ( there are many types of tasks)

    2) same except on an appointment.

    3) on your agenda.( I have given plenty of thought to cutting this and still might.)

    4) by sort of command line. You just type it on your wall like text. And Oversing is smart enough to figure it out.

Basically if you can see something and you can assign yourself to it the. You can book time against it.

    Cool.

https://www.quora.com/Whats-the-difference-between-Keynesian-economics-and-Austrian-economics/answer/Curt-DoolittleThere are three basic movements in economics. We unfortunately name them by their origins rather than their goals

Austrian economics seeks to eliminate symmetries of information so that people can cooperate more effectively. In this sense Austrian economics is an attempt to create a social science of cooperative institutions – political economy. More importantly the objective is to improve information. T is also the most eugenic system.

Chicago/freshwater/monetarist economics seeks to create formula for the non discretionary interference in the economy to correct against shocks, and thereby adding the economy to our existing tradition of rule of law. The information distortion then is not open to discretion and manipulation, and people are not made victims of Human error and bias. This system retains eugenic reproduction and savings and intervene rational lending but allows the public to insure itself agains shocks. It also prevents the creation and export of risk by one generation into another.

Keynesian /left/freshwater economics seeks to increase consumption and therefore employment by the constant adjustment of the economy using policy and discretion as is done under the Continental system of law. This system seeks the maximum distortions possible and the maximum redistribution possible. It is also the most dysgenic system. It has destroyed the system of intergenerational rational lending, and has led to the export of risk.

I am happy to debate this issue with any economist or philosopher living. But I seriously don’t think that anyone with the knowledge to conduct that debate would do so.

https://www.quora.com/What-is-after-socialism-and-capitalism/answer/Curt-Doolittle?srid=u4Qv&share=6348c1e4A keeper. Weaponry for your kit.

We have always had mixed economies and always will. Neither extreme is possible since under pure capitalism commons cannot be produced because incentives to produce them don’t exist, and under pure socialism productiin is impossible in no small part because incentives to produce don’t exist.

These two terms are also questionably dishonest. Capitalism refers to the voluntary organisation of production of consumption and commons. Socialism to the involuntary organisation of production of consumption and commons.

There no post capitalism. It is possible that there is a pure contractualism variant available to us and I am working on that solution.

But it as long as women can bear children at will without certain to if the ability to support them or their eventual self support, then there will always be intolerable want.

The he egalitarianism of Northern Europe was achieved through centuries of systemic eugenics. And westerners do not like to admit this truth rather than attribute their current luxury is the product of their character.

Hanjal line character is the product of dispassionate eugenics in all walks of life.

The early northern people delayed reproduction and out red. the anglo Saxons starting in the Netherlands practiced manorialism. the rest of europe hung half to one percent of the population every year as entertainment.

It is far more important for a people to eliminate the evil 80s from the population than it is to create genius.

This knowledge is the crisis of our age. mixed economies have won. There is no end to capitalism in the consumer economy and socialism in the commons economy.

Not as long as we are discussing humans.

  • I think some of us want to feel, some of us want to know, and some of us want to

I think some of us want to feel, some of us want to know, and some of us want to do. And I think that very few of us know the difference. I think some of us want to consume, some of us want to produce, and some of us want to save. And I think very few of us know the difference. So when we talk about satisfaction, achievement, or success, which things are we talking about? Doing and producing? Feeling and consuming? Thinking and Saving? Or some other variation. Because it is very hard to do anything comfortably unless you are first doing and producing. Why? Because unless you produce something that others want, you cant get much that you want yourself.

  • Nobility like liberty, and like status is obtained in exchange. One cannot make

Nobility like liberty, and like status is obtained in exchange. One cannot make it alone. For this reason we should obtain our coats of arms by the combination of symbols of those who reciprocally insure us and our sovereignty as we insure them and their sovereignty. This is the origin of the coat of arms. Families did not have such things. Every individual had a different one. It was the symbols that identified families. The shield displayed a set of signatories to the nobility of its bearer. Individuals obtain reciprocal insurance. Noble Families are just talented at developing relationships of mutual insurance. Almost all known today are fake. They were purchased by the middle class as symbols of pretention. you cannot buy liberty or nobility. you must exchange it with others who hold the same currency: honor.

    h/t: Justin Ptak

And yes, i am sure my family’s coat is nonsense also. But it’s still cute.
