I do assume that people are solipsistic, narcissistic, or schizotypal, more often than stupid. Stupid alone isn’t that bad. They don’t care.

NOTE: when I use the term Monarchy, I use it in the narrow sense as a property holder of territory and formal institutions, where the monarch provides the ultimate veto power over contracts for commons, and the judiciary ultimate veto power over natural law.

( Notice how Trump is honest about his strategy. He uses the media against itself. He baits them like he baits the financial sector when building his projects: by appealing to their greed, then turning it on them later in the development cycle.
He disempowers the state-media conspiracy of common interest: selling faith in an impossible utopia to willing consumers and voters in exchange for advertising revenue for media and votes that allow funding of the special interests and ideologues that get politicians into office.
He uses their greed by selling the opposite message and invoking moral outrage, and they play host to his message and give him free distribution in an effort to stop him. They cannot refuse the short term revenue or political attention even though in the long term he is undermining their influence and demonstrating their duplicity.
The art of it is fascinating to watch. And the media and the state are committing suicide by showering him with attention in attempts to stop him from doing exactly what his voters want: disempowering the state-media-academy alliance, that we in the #NewRight call ‘The Cathedral’. The replacement of the military industrial complex with the state, academy media complex. )

So, what if you’re in a relationship for a couple of years and the other person doesn’t want to get married, because he or she says that “marriage isn’t for me”?
Now, myself, I would only say that because the relationship was convenient at present, but that over the long term I thought it wasn’t going to be a good idea, and that I wanted to keep my options open in case something better came along. I have been in relationships that were ‘good enough for now’ but not ‘good enough for life’. Many of us have been.
Usually when someone asks me a question like this I say “Well, the clock ticks on your life every moment. God only gives us one life. And relationships are an expensive investment of time in that one life. And every moment you invest in a ‘maybe not’ relationship is not being invested in a ‘we will try hard’ relationship. And over the long term, a relationship that lasts is the best investment you can make in time, just as a house is the best investment you can make with money.”
Wishing and hoping don’t make it so. Renting a house is money spent but not invested in the home you one day need not pay for. A ‘Maybe not” relationship is the same time spent but not invested in the long term relationship that sustains you in later years.
If a person ‘just isn’t that into you” then he or she just isn’t into you. It’s not complicated. People demonstrate their preferences. Their actions tell the truth that their words do not. Truth is there staring at you. You just have to come to terms with it.

( Notice how Trump distinguishes between making a mistake and duplicitous, political or immoral character when he talks of vp candidates. He has no problem taking out the immoral man. He does not like to criticize the moral man except on the facts.)

(choice quotes for your rhetorical armory)
a) Author’s article is nothing but an act of personal promotion for drumming up business by yet another western example of pretentious virtue signaling. It is another kind of whoring. But in the end whoring none the less. The selling of false-virtue lies, rather than false-sex lies.
b) People sell all forms of entertainment that are contrary to life’s evidence.
People pay for all forms of entertainment that is contrary to life’s evidence. Sex is just one more of them. alcohol, drugs, movies, literature, media narratives, and pretentious virtue signaling are but a few examples of them.
c) People buy, sell, and tell themselves and each other pleasant lies to make their tedious boring unexceptional lives tolerable. And we are happy to buy and sell this bits of nonsense.
e) Voluntarily exchanged payments for such entertainment are much better than the alternative: sexy obtained by violence, entertainment by subjugation, and sustenance by enslavement and parasitism. Alcohol, storytelling and prostitution in all the various forms of paying women for sex one way or another are as old as human existence.
f) The waitress who smiles at your imbecilic wit, the shopkeeper who treats you with undeserved respect, the marketer who promises you feelings beyond your natural means, the politician who panders to your failure to mature into a productive adult. None of these differ from the prostitute who tells you that you’re attractive and she’s pleased by your company.
Liars all. Virtue Signaling included: our most fashionable current form of lying. These various fictions are a creature comfort we use to make the daily evidence of our personal irrelevance tolerable. Do not begrudge people fictions purchased in trade. They are far better than truths obtained by violence and conquest – which was the norm throughout our history.

scary thought…
Testimony:
Identity (Categorically consistent)
Internally (Logically) consistent
Externally Correspondent (Empirically Consistent)
Existentially Possible
Parsimonious (fully accounted, parsimonious, limits)
Moral (productive, fully informed, warrantied voluntary transfers)
Beautiful (craft, aesthetic, moral, resources)
That would mean that truth, science, philosophy, law, aesthetics were identical.
TRUTH GOODNESS(MORAL) AND BEAUTY = SCIENCE
