    Gods exist like numbers exist. And they exist for similar purposes: to provide us with decidability on matters which we cannot directly sense, perceive, compare, and judge, without such measures.

    Western Law (conflict resolution) is separate from Western Religion (festivals)

    Western civilization like western law, and western politics, and western science, is (was) empirical.

    The meaningful content of western christianity is the extension of kinship trust to non kin.

    This extension of trust requires we teach humility and skepticism.

    This empiricism requires we teach skepticism

    Testimony, jury, judge, natural, common discovered law requires we testify truthfully.

    We developed testimony, jury, senate, debate, reason, rationalism, science and now, ‘complete science’ (testimonialism).

    We developed reason, philosophy, natural law, and science because we spoke truthfully.

    We developed a religion that assisted in the practice of skepticism, humility, and truthfulness.

    Moreover, every time we have a great war, we evolve quickly by reformation after it.

    This is why we do not stagnate like all other civilizations:

    There is no faster way to evolve a people than through truth, science, natural common law, a multitude of independent polities, and the capacity for conflict between them.

    The west was not first, but it is fastest.

    Modern Secular Monasteries and Regiments?

    The postwar boom, great wars, industrial revolution, and colonial expansion, all led to a decrease in the need for civic society dormitories, and promised all of us families and homes.

    The vast number of women who were part or full time prostitutes, their betters who were nuns, the rest who were home servants.

    The vast number of part time soldiers and criminals, their betters as who were in the monasteries, and the balance who were disposable labor.

    Why do we force people into mandatory self support when there are collective methods at their disposal?

    Why don’t we have civic housing for each gender, and reserve the burden of household care to those who produce and support families?

    Men are not expensive to house and feed. Its the benefits we pay soldiers that are expensive.

    I would live in a dorm of single rooms with men if the regulations were as strict as the university. I would live with brothers in arms if the regulations were as strict as the military.

    Why do we force middle class upon all of us?

    You know guys, we have our own version of the Asian girl. They’re eastern european, primarily polish, petite and commonly under 5’4″. Think Megan Fox(more germanic) and Mila Kunis (more slavic). They seem to be distributed from Poland(very dark brown hair) to Georgia(black hair). And they’re pretty much perfect in every way.

    There are no infinite goods including free trade. Unless you have performed a full accounting such that you have measured the full set of externalities, then how can you blindly state that free trade is an objective good?

    When we form polities and construct markets we lower opportunity and transaction costs, and ‘ create opportunities’ – and through competition we seize them, converting a common asset into private goods, producing those private goods both as an individual and common good.

    When we trade with external parties in other polities and on other markets, we may or may not by externality produce good or harm.

    For example when we are compensating for resource and geographic differences this is hard to argue with.

    When we import or export products and services that create vulnerability we also do harm.

    When we are engaged in labor discounting then we may or may not be producing good.

    When we export advantageous technical knowledge we are surely harm.

    When we export medicines we are doing Harm in many ways.

    Price is a poor measure of total cost to capital.

    I love Slavic men. They start an argument. Ten of their friends arrive and try to talk them out of fighting. They argue until they start swinging. And the friends make sure the fight is settled, but no one gets killed.

    You do not disrespect people in post soviet countries. It was impermissible under the Soviets and it stuck.
