Why is it that you think that Facebook and Google are exporting good coding practice? What evidence do you have that their business models depend on good coding practices? Isn’t the browser DOM a bad model (the VHS of the internet world)? Isn’t the dead weight cost of that model equivalent to world transportation costs prior to the standardizaiton of shipping containers? I mean, we are spending how many tends of billions of dollars on coding against a problem (DOM/Javascript) that is fixable by a small number of people in a year? There is absolutely no reason for this (SHIT CODE) that is the soviet toilet paper of the technology world. I mean, seriously people. This isn’t innovation. It’s a LACK OF KNOWLEDGE OF HISTORY DOOMING US TO REPEAT IT.

    OMFG.

Just because the new kids on the block (a) invented a better yellow pages [google], and (b) invented a better email [facebook] there isn’t a lot of evidence of rocket-science thinking coming out of these organizations.

Instead, they hire young inexperienced people straight out of college that are smart enough to solve one of the world’s dumbest problems, but too ignorant to know why they shouldn’t have to.

seriously. I need my own planet. The hairless apes are out of the cage and their flinging digital feces everywhere.

    gah!

    JOURNALISM IS EASILY REPAIRABLE

The craft of Journalism is easily repairable: Restore Defamation, Libel, Slander, and the requirement for Truthful Speech in matters of the commons that the ‘press’ worked so diligently to eliminate from the common law. If one is accountable for one’s words, just as doctors are for theirs, lawyers are for theirs, CPA’s are for theirs, and CEO’s are for theirs, then perhaps ‘journalism’ will cease meaning ‘propaganda that provides opportunity for selling advertising’. Because that’s all it means today.

JUSTIFY CHANGES IN STATE, NOT EXCUSES (REASON), AND INTENTIONS.

It’s not the justification of reasoning that we measure but the change in state of property that results from our actions.

In other words, the excuse we make are irrelevant. Only the change in state of property in toto has any meaning.

I realize this is hard to grasp for all of us who have studied the history of excuse making (philosophy) for a long time.

But it is what it is. 😉

Warranty of due diligence in all possible dimensions of human action, increases the precision of MORAL justification from habit, to reason, to rationalism, to science, to testimonialism.

    Moral justification = Blame Avoidance.

Testimonialism = Warranty of due diligence.

( well, that was a superbowl worth watching. I thought at the end of the first quarter it was all over. but the big heavy guys that crushed the first half line couldn’t keep it up for the full nearly-four-hours. And when brady had time, he could use it. BTW: did you know that at one point the president threatened to ban football because so many people were dying while playing? )
