    Christianity takes credit but it is rarely if ever a cause. The church used a monopoly on literacy, and enforced superstition, to assist in administration of impoverished people after the collapse, after the romans had destroyed celtic civilization.

    The Jews did nothing despite being the most literate people in europe. The church imprisoned people in ignorance by preserving a monopoly on literacy. The church like the jews allied with the state to suppress the people.

    It was literacy – the breaking of the church monopoly on literacy – the empiricism of the common and roman law – and the restoration of greek knowledge that led the west out of ignorance imposed by the east upon the west.

    Because literacy restored sovereignty to the mind, to western man, to his polity, and his achievements.

    As far as I know, government has existed always. (See Iron Law of Oligarchy) because in the end, decision making must occur to concentrate capital and to prevent defectors, and decision makers are extremely valuable to a population.

    So whether pater-warrior, headman, chieftain, council, republic, multi-house-government …. government has always and always must, exist. The question is not whether it must exist, but the method of decidability, and the scope of those decisions.

    I would say that for many people, the supernatural is the maximum degree of rationalism possible, because it is the maximum criticism they are able to perform, with the maximum trust they are able to invest.

    morality remains constant across the spectrum of intelligence, but religiosity (abandonment of reason and calculation) increases as intelligence declines, and ethics (reliance on reason and calculation) increases as intelligence increases.

    The problem for christianity is the same problem with government. Instead of adding literatures (already extant), meaning history, and natural law, the church doubled down on mysticism.

    Natural law is enough. The teachings of Jesus (as few as they are) are reducible to natural law. There is no reason that the church does not teach the truth as a competitor to the lies of the state and the burghers.

    But the CHURCH CHOSE LIES. And that is why it dies.

    Christianity was a weapon which justified aryanism. The world wars ended our comfort with aryanism. we need restore aryanism. Christianity on the other hand is a good cult-of-the-feminine. But without arianism – the aristocracy – it is but a cancer on mankind like all abrahamic religions. Because it mutates like judaism and islam into marxism. Or perhaps better said, judaism, islamism and christianity without aristocracy are all attempts at marxism.
