    ON POLYGAMY

I’ve answered this question repeatedly. So here we go again:

    (a) the community will not insure it.

    (b) the community might ostracize it.

    (c) the ostracization is rational since it is not in their kin’s interests, and poses a normative risk to their kin.

    (d) there is nothing stopping you from creating a corporation with the identical properties of a marriage EXCEPT for the community insurance of the relationship.

    (e) so effectively you trade a decrease in normative social status in exchange for polygamy. And I have no reason to think this is not exactly the optimum condition.

    (f) i might argue that such a private contract might have higher value than the marriage contract since it is unregulated.

In other words, IMO, marriage is an ancient natural law contract between a man and a woman for the formation of a corporation of community property that produces offspring who later care for the parents in old age.

Every other relationship is not marriage but a contract that grants:

    (a) reciprocal exclusivity of resources of all kinds

    (b) reciprocal power of attorney over the community assets including one another.

    (c) reciprocal insurance against the vicissitudes of life.

    (d) reciprocal insurance of offspring.

The difference being that the community will warranty non interference in the relationship and therefore the contract of marriage, and the community will not warranty the same of the alternative contract, since it is not in the interests of the community to foster these relationships. (no it’s not. sorry).

FAKE NEWS FAKE PROBLEM FOR FB

    Look:

    (a) With just 100 clicks FB can tell everything about you. they can easily filter in what you like and out what you don’t. You wouldn’t believe how accurate it is.

    (b) Just as FB has favorite music and movies, there is no reason why they can’t have “taboos” to avoid by default and allow us to ‘opt in’.

    (c) the reason is that they want to preserve advertiser interest. yet they don’t realize that taboos inform advertisers as well, and create markets as well.

I am increasingly convinced that an ATT like regulatory scheme should be imposed upon FB/Google if not twitter, that allowed for free speech as long as you opt in and out of topics.

    I don’t wanna troll sjw’s. I don’t want them trolling me.

Spent today in gun stores in connecticut, and omg there is one here that puts everything outside of texas to shame. It’s unbelievable. It’s just evidence that the more you threaten gun culture the more profitable and dedicated gun owners become. I thought Wade’s Eastside was pretty impressive for it’s hollywood gun collection but omg, this place makes seattle look like a low rent district.

Once you have a carry permit in CT, which is close to a shall issue state, it seems like everything is pretty easy. It’s just waaay harder than it was when I lived here 30 years ago. I mean I took the NRA training way back then and the whole bit. I’ve had my WA license and then my Utah license. But this whole CT thing just looks like a lot of bureaucratic nonsense, that does nothing at all except place a burden on the working class guy who wants to hunt, shoot, or defend life and property.

I cant wait to outlaw frivolous and symbolic laws. 🙂

(I love to answer questions. But please don’t stalk me for ‘chatting’. I’m generous with my time, but not foolish with it. I don’t chat. I answer questions. It’s my job. And I have more work to do than you can imagine people having work to do. Ok? Thanks. Now hopefully I don’t have to block you…)

IT IS INCREASINGLY DIFFICULT TO KNOW IF YOU’RE ‘A FRIENDLY’.

So many sock accounts, fake names, and empty profiles. And want to keep ‘unfriendlies’ out of my sphere.

I have to research every single friend request and some of the sock accounts are indistinguishable from the troll and spam and spy accounts. Usually your friends, your banner, or your profile image show some ‘right wing or libertarian’ kinda thing so I can at least identify a friendly.

So please (a) have a profile photo of anything (not you, anything) – don’t just leave it blank, (b) use a banner image that shows your political bias so i know you’re a friendly, (c) have a history of more than a few days …

    (d) OR, just send me a PM so I can approve your friend request.

    🙂

( To take it off the table of potential teasing: Yes, clean shaven and wearing my glasses I look like Paul Allen … at least how he did a few years ago. I’m just three inches shorter and and seven years younger. But no one mistakes me for him any longer (used to happen now and then because of the press photo he used). He’s gone ‘thin’ in his old age. And yes, my first ancestor in the USA in 1630 was married to Joan Allen. So I come by this appearance honestly. Same gene pool. So there… lol. Hopefully that will eliminate the novelty of teasing me when the next videos come out…. )

WE ARE UNEQUAL, BUT WHAT WILL YOU TRADE?

We are dramatically unequal in every possible way, other than reciprocity. Natural Law produces the only equality possible: equality of reciprocity in matters of conflict, leaving us markets for reciprocity in all walks of life, independent of our abilities. Yes some of us are more genetically fortuitous than others, like every other species, and some of us less, like every other species. But the only way we can work together is reciprocity, and reciprocity produces evolutionary excellence. SO, the question is, what will you trade?

    THE EVOLUTION OF RELATIONSHIPS

Pairing off was a prehistoric adaptation.

    Marital relationships, an agrarian invention.

Nuclear marriage relationships, a medieval invention.

    Romantic relationships a modern invention.

Friendship relationships a mid 20th century invention.

    Temporary relationships a current invention.

Marriage and offspring are not luxury goods. They are survival goods.
