FB has to go the telco route and add taboos and dislikes to disassociate people with conflicting interests, thus allowing companies to avoid advertising to, or to advertise to, preferences, interests, taboos and dislikes.

The truth is they already have the data but don’t like the consequences of it.

    by Chris Moyer

According to the average Classical Liberal, Libertarian, and Ancap, Individualism is an axiomatic good.

But, it’s just another false dichotomy similar to that of capitalism versus socialism – except in this case it is individualism versus collectivism.

They remove all measurements of arbitrariness from these categories and end up scrambling to justify their position on the spectrum.

So just as these people claim the West was Capitalistic despite it being a mixed economy (rule of law by necessity), they make the same mistake and claim the West is individualistic despite it being mixed between Collectivism and Individualism.

***It’s really just non-arbitrary prioritization of rights.***

I think it’s safe to say that we know the benefits and downfalls to both individualism and collectivism and to continue holding a view based on that false dichotomy is embarrassing.

CD: Ok, so lets repeat that ” A non-arbitrary prioritization of rights. “

The purpose of mother(the church) is the family(insurance), the purpose of the academy is occupational training, the purpose of the government is commons production, the purpose of the military is military training and defense, the purpose of the monarchy is the production of excellence. When we confuse these roles we get the obvious consequences: overreach in each.

The Peter Principle applies to institutions: we rise to the level of our incompetence.

—-”there exists a triangular equivalence in theory of computation between fields. We have philosophy that gives us intuitionistic logic. We have mathematics that gives us category theory. Then in computer science we have type theory”—-

The scope of content in those few sentences is priceless. I’m trying to think of how I can deflate it into operational (scientific) language. (ie: Whenever you use the word ‘is’ – the verb-to-be in any of its forms – you don’t understand the causal relations.)

    a) constant relations (intuition)

    b) positional relations. (categories)

    c) dimensional relations. (types)

    d) symmetric relations (symmetries, externalities, consequences) (models)

    e) and then repeat at the next level of hierarchy.

All we are ever discussing is constant relations in some number of dimensions until we produce new identities (a) that we can define relations between (b) so that we can construct descriptions (c) so that we can model outcomes (d).

“Constant relations all the way down’.

I mean, the cosmopolitan counter-revolution against science is ending right? Fascism is gradually taking hold. Nationalism gradually taking hold. Marx, Freud, Boas and the Postmoderns falsified, and Dawin, Spencer, and Nietzsche were right.

    UNDERSTANDING OUR VARIED MYTHOS

Our myths split north of the black sea.

The western (eventually odin), and eastern (eventually vedic).

Then crossed over (shared) again south of the black sea (greek, anatolian, semitic, persian).

But the differences remain the same. Authoritarian semitic, I don’t know how to cast persian except ‘like chinese’ as wisdom literature, the indic/vedic, and then the ‘rational’ germanic, roman, greek. So the spectrum of empirical to authoritarian to supernatural works eastward. I don’t know why other than to assume it’s a demographic necessity since we know the anatolians were working on religion as we understand it 8000bc. Even before the british isles were … 3000bc. So it s likely that the henge culture was informed of the anatolian culture. at least by story if not by experience.

I assume that the semitic (fertile crescent) peoples had longer to work with the anatolian religion, and so that the persians (east) and the anatolians (west) and the greeks (far west), and the romans (farthest west), were all less affected given the distance.

Unfortunately the fertile crescent meant food and that meant underclasses, and that mean authoritarianism.

Hunters don’t need that stuff. 😉

I care, and work in the interests of, the working, craftsman, and middle classes – what I call the ‘moral’ people. Those of us at the top will always prosper. But elites who abandon their kin soon pay the price. And that price is our civilization. #Trump
