  • THERE IS NO “WE” There is no “WE”. There is us and ours, and you and yours, and

    THERE IS NO “WE”

There is no “WE”. There is us and ours, and you and yours, and they and theirs, and cooperation with you or they, under your or their parasitism, is no longer preferable to separation, war, or even extermination. It is a purely empirical question.

Cooperation is only valuable until it is not. Under certain conditions cooperation is profitable – when it is not parasitic. Under other conditions predation is preferable to parasitism. The only question I have is whether separation, enslavement, or destruction is preferable. That is a purely empirical question.

The subject of morality is a condition of cooperation outside of cooperation all questions are amoral. Under parasitism only predation is rational. It is a purely empirical question.

Tip that some people get and some people fail to get: *Always Use Series*.

—“mythology, values, rituals, signals, institutions, language, culture, and kinship”—

—“ignorance, error, bias, wishful thinking, suggestion, obscurantism, fictionalism, and deceit”—

—“murder, violence, theft, fraud, free riding, socialization of losses, privatization of the commons, conspiracy, statism, conversion, immigration, conquest”—

—“Idealism, abrahamism, pilpul vs critique, sophism, justificaitonary rationalism, propaganda”—

—“Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Rousseauianism, Kantianism, Marxism, Keynesianism, Frankfurt School, Feminism, Postmodernism, Outright Lying”—-

—” logic, math, accounting, algorithms, recipes(protocols), science (operations), testimony, written prose, ordinary language, idiomatic speech, storytelling, fiction, fictionalisms, deceits”—

—“Sovereignty, Reciprocity, Truth, Duty, Natural Law and Markets in Everything”—

Each of these series contains all the information necessary to construct very complex arguments. and the virtue of repeating them, and any other series of definitions, is that it is extremely hard to play word games when all words as such are subject to competition in each such series.

I get a unix platform, with a killer UI, on hardware that pretty much never fails, at the cost of not being able to play games. )

When you make your living having MSFT as an abusive customer for decades everything on the platform brings up depressing if not traumatizing memories and makes you feel dirty … it’s common knowledge that I said I would try to never touch anything of theirs again. I switched to mac before I sold the business and the only reason I’ll buy MS again is to play games – if I ever in my life have a week I can afford to lose to playing games.

Apple is a bunch of fuckups now and Satya is better than Ballmer, so until either MSFT splits the OS’s and makes its own hardware that’s best in the world, or Apple makes it even harder to do pro work on their platform, I’m staying mac.

I write code and I write text and I consume information. Mac is perfect.Jun 27, 2018 4:16pmCurt Doolittleit doesn’t work like that. I sort of roll something around in my head while doing this nonsense, and then disappear for twenty minutes to an hour while I write it. Then repeat.

REMEMBER WHEN YOU TOLD ME IT COULN’T HAPPEN?

    VIA RASUMSSEN
    Wednesday, June 27, 2018

“That which appears inconceivable is merely a function of the determinacy of human behavior and the ignorance of the incentives”

—“Thirty-one percent (31%) of Likely U.S. Voters say it’s likely that the United States will experience a second civil war sometime in the next five years, with 11% who say it’s Very Likely. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 59% consider a second civil war unlikely, but that includes only 29% who say it’s Not At All Likely. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Democrats (37%) are more fearful than Republicans (32%) and voters not affiliated with either major party (26%) that a second civil war is at hand.

But 59% of all voters are concerned that those opposed to President Trump’s policies will resort to violence, with 33% who are Very Concerned. This compares to 53% and 28% respectively in the spring of Obama’s second year in office. Thirty-seven percent (37%) don’t share that concern, including 16% who are Not At All Concerned.

Fifty-three percent (53%) are concerned that those critical of the media’s coverage of Trump will resort to violence, with 24% who are Very Concerned. Forty-two percent (42%) are not concerned about violence from media opponents, including 17% who are Not At All Concerned.”—
