    Look. I have only 80 friends spots left.

    I’m going to (a) make a public page, and (b) cull my friends list of those people who knew me in my prior occupations etc (who have undoubtably blocked me anyway. lol) So it’s going to take me a bit to whittle down the 300 or so pending.

    You guys who blow through socks you know I can’t keep ten accounts for each of you. So I”m going to cut friends from my personal page that have sock profiles, and ask you to follow my public page -so don’t get pissed at me.

    I thought we would make it through the year with my personal profile page, but we’re growing faster and faster.

    Everyone seems to think Art is a complex topic. It’s not. Math isn’t a complex topic. Nor are morality, ethics, and law. Nor is psychology and sociology. Nor are the sciences.

    THE UNIVERSE IS VERY SIMPLE- IF WE STOP LYING.

    We have evolved these disciplines for very obvious reasons:
    – Art (The social, and Monumental, content).
    – Decoration (the personal and environmental)
    – Craft (the material)

    More is always better.
    – More content.
    – More decoration
    – More craft

    Why? They represent the accumulation of intellectual (art), emotional (design) and physical (craft) calories.

    Bounty. Art like all things that are beautiful, conveys bounty (fertility), which is why we are attracted to it.

    See? Everything is very simple and very clear once you understand it.

    EVERYTHING IS SIMPLE. THE UNIVERSE IS SIMPLE. IT’S THE LIES WE TELL TO MASK OUR IGNORANCE THAT CREATE COMPLEXITY.

    SPLATTER PAINTING IS DECORATION NOT ART – AND THATS WHY ITS OK

    I’m actually a fan of splatter painting since I recognize it not as art but as decoration. I don’t consider tattoo’s art, nor the decoration of dinner plates art, and I don’t consider splatter painting art, but decoration. And as decoration of the modern postwar apartment it served its purpose. Postwar art in particular, due to (((certain))) influences, is decoration, not art.

    And decoration is just fine. Especially for apartment living.

    MODERN ART – THE ART MOVEMENT AFTER THE INVENTION OF PHOTOGRAPHY THROUGH THE END OF THE FIRST WORLD WAR

    A couple of things happened that we need to take into account.
    1 – Photography destroyed the artists capacity to earn just like photoshop destroyed the art supply business (which I was a significant player in) and drove everyone to digital.
    2 – There was a HUGE increase in demand for decorative arts as the size of the middle class expanded.
    3 – The urban apartment and war era panel products and mass manufacturing produced an environment unsuitable for curvalinear arts
    4 – Immigration created the problem of producing decoration for new groups who neither wanted to reflect their (peasant) ancestry but wanted to signal their new influences.
    5 – The marxists exploited this like they did all other immoral market opportunities.

    Well I think of it as market democracy rather than monopoly democracy and if we explain that it solves the problem of either side winning only the moral will agree and only the immoral disagree.

    And then we know who to exit from the polity: the immoral.
