http://www.cnbc.com/id/44269404/Yes, well, a graduated plan with three years of negative to zero interest, slowly stepping up to three percent would have fixed the problem among consumers immediately and saved us trillions. The problem is only a few of us proposed it and only Galbraith was well known enough to convince anyone and he died suddenly. … What is obvious to some is unthinkable to others.

Just listening to a Dunkin Donuts franchisee complain about the company’s ethics. Aside from the fact that he’s obviously a lousy business man, maybe he should have read franchise law (I did, every word of it, in the early 80’s when I was selling franchises at another company). Dunkin Donuts is the REASON we have franchise law. If it’s a scam, they’ve done it.

CRUNCH. That’s the sound of the unscheduled but mandatory annual auto event, where a lowered Porsche’s spoiler is unceremoniously raked against a curb at low speed in a parking lot, followed by bits of fiberglass and cursing. … I just consider it an offering to the sports car gods.

Amanda tells me that our horse Tuscano has won 1st and 3rd in Prix St George at Palgrave! God he is a beautiful work of art. (Thank you Erin. Thank you Jenny.)

http://www.topgear.com/uk/photos/mini-concepts-2011-08-15?imageNo=1#.Tk_LtHG4rok.facebookOK. I love Mini’s. …. Except for tacky, cheap, plastic interiors. And … except they’re in last place in quality ratings due to a need for frequent repairs. And …. except they’re ridiculously overpriced – anything built that poorly should be cheap enough to warrant it. 🙁
