    THE DWINDLING CONFIDENCE OF ECONOMISTS.

I read pretty much everything on economics every day that has anything to do with political economy. Or conversely I don’t care about banking and finance.

I wish I had the data to support the memory.

But through about 2010 economists were full of confidence and prediction in all manner of things.

But since then the shift has continued away from both speculation and confidence.

Now the next boom will increase demand for their opinions. And economists will return to the monetary equivalent of fantasy football once again. And with the predictability of growth again portray confidence that exacerbates the cycle.

I guess the bright side is that for now they do less damage.

    UKRAINIAN “CAROLING”

Some random young girl just rang the bell. Came into the doorway, Announced she was singing us a christmas song. Sang it. Three verses with Chorus. (I can’t catch the meaning). The recited a short bit on best wishes. And thanked us. And smiled.

During this entire period we are expected to smile appreciatively (which is pretty easy), then give her a tip.

Now we are not exactly in the nicest area of town, but its all small families in small apartments.

What I am constantly struck by is the ‘us-ness’ of a homogenous population.

    It makes me tear.

    I remember this in america.

    It’s what we lost,

    And it is beautiful.

    Love your nation.

    F_ck the corporeal state.

I am going to kill as many of you as I can with the written word.

And dance in my grave at every twitch of every rope.

  • Criticisms: Admitting Your Own Ignorance

[I]gnorance isn’t a criticism. (Instead, say “I don’t know that subject”.) Lack of understanding isn’t a criticism. (Instead, say “I don’t understand”.) Difficulty in learning isn’t a criticism. (Instead say “this is hard, so I don’t understand.”) Falsification of meaning isn’t falsification of a central argument is a criticism. (instead say “I don’t think the example supports the theory”) Falsification requires you both understand and can falsify a central argument. (the theory). Like the wise man says: in any technical field people will say “I don’t know”. Btu when we talk of epistemology, ethics, morality, politics and economics, for some reason the average idiot has a vested interest in his nonsense opinion. Now, this is rational because we must make use of epistemology, ethics, morality and politics, while we probably do not need to make use of other disciplines. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t exhausting.

It’s turning into a weekly thing but it’s time once again to reiterate my position on biases.

I don’t do racism. I definitely do classism and eugenics – but not racism.

I definitely do truth and and morality and therefore culturism.

I put my people first. Just as I put myself and my family first.

I want to defend my kin and our civilization.

I want to resist the lesser people’s doing damage to us.

But it is my ambition to raise all people into transcendence.

And the Christian soul has no room for hate and idleness where it can be replaced by paternalism and hard work.

    We are aristocracy.

We must raise mankind into transcendence.

To do raise mankind into transcendence we must look at the evidence, and have the courage to rule.

(I’m kind of a fan of the tomahawk-axe and knife thing for unarmored fighting. Especially if you’re willing to take a hit. Not lanky enough to play long sword games. I’d have to get in close in war. So Spear + Long-Knife + Axe. Then for getting accosted by groups you need a cutlass – which the world uses under the name ‘machete’ today. And for duels a Rapier. I trained in fencing for a year. It was fun. But it requires a stage. In the field there are no rules but mercy. I want to get in close and brawl. 🙂 Honest disclosure: I prefer found objects: ceramic coffee cups and dinner knives. Plausible deniability. lol )

  • Christmas is much better in the east. You get all this party time! – Christmas M

Christmas is much better in the east. You get all this party time!

    – Christmas Market (starting sometime in november or december)

    – St Nicholas Day December 15th

    – The Solstice on December 21st (for us Nature worshipping Pagans)

    – Western Christmas on December 25th

    – New Year’s Day on January 1.

    – Orthodox Christmas on January 8th.

    – Old New Year on January 14th.

So basically from Mid December to Mid January there is a feast every few days. And so the big investment in the holidays makes more sense.

And for some reason I think it’s funny that we have a LOT of new year festivals.

    – The Solstice as the prehistoric pagan celebration;

    – Halloween/November 1st as the New Year Pagan Feast;

    – Orthodox Old New Year

    – Orthodox New Year

    – Catholic New Year

So if you consider Halloween the beginning of the winter festival season:

    – Halloween/November 1st as the New Year Pagan Feast;

    – American Canadian Thanksgiving as the Fall Feast.

Then you can basically celebrate from October 31st to January 15th.

The entrepreneur in me is horrified at having to pay salaries during such an unproductive period. (if we paid by days worked I would feel differently). But the human in me thinks that we americans are nutcases.

As far as I know all the value of American excess production is consumed by the financial and government sector.

ie: have more sex, more kids, and more time off.
