    Net/Net: 70% of vc still software. In Software, geography doesn’t matter. (Look what’s come out of little estonia’s micro-population. Look how little has come out of Germany.) So I look for (a) access to talent, (b) low cost of talent, (c) low cost of bureaucracy. (d) technical universities, (e) “Young Ambitious” culture. In my experience western europe is relatively hostile to entrepreneurship compared to the States and eastern europe. I can’t believe what a burden the UK banking and taxation system is. There isn’t even a legal equivalent of the USA’s S.A.F.E. agreement for investors. Lawyers, if you can find one that can think outside the box, are far less sophisticated. Regulatory accounting expensive and lacking all business value. European investment community is far less sophisticated, and far less experienced, and tends to ‘think small’. I’ve bought and sold companies across north america and europe and there just isn’t any comparison. That said i prefer european CULTURE, and european EMPLOYEES, and european LIFESTYLE, and that is why I prefer to develop software in Europe (rather eastern europe, or even russia).

    IT IS INCREASINGLY DIFFICULT TO KNOW IF YOU’RE ‘A FRIENDLY’.

    So many sock accounts, fake names, and empty profiles. And want to keep ‘unfriendlies’ out of my sphere.

    I have to research every single friend request and some of the sock accounts are indistinguishable from the troll and spam and spy accounts. Usually your friends, your banner, or your profile image show some ‘right wing or libertarian’ kinda thing so I can at least identify a friendly.

    So please (a) have a profile photo of anything (not you, anything) – don’t just leave it blank, (b) use a banner image that shows your political bias so i know you’re a friendly, (c) have a history of more than a few days …

    (d) OR, just send me a PM so I can approve your friend request.

    ( To take it off the table of potential teasing: Yes, clean shaven and wearing my glasses I look like Paul Allen … at least how he did a few years ago. I’m just three inches shorter and and seven years younger. But no one mistakes me for him any longer (used to happen now and then because of the press photo he used). He’s gone ‘thin’ in his old age. And yes, my first ancestor in the USA in 1630 was married to Joan Allen. So I come by this appearance honestly. Same gene pool. So there… lol. Hopefully that will eliminate the novelty of teasing me when the next videos come out…. )

    2) professional warriors with militia volunteers(western),

    3) standing semi-professional armies (china),

    4) slave armies (islam).

    The lower that number the higher the trust between members.

    The more members in that high trust order the more widespread the trust.

    Out of the “order of men” all civilization results.

    Out of the geography, all orders of men result.

    The Militia (trained) with Professional Warriors produces the highest trust. And enfranchisement limited to those in the militia.

Men are more likely to encourage them to take risks (cheerleaders), and women are more likely to monitor risks (lifeguards).
