Teaching reading and mathematics is hard. Teaching stoicism is no harder. And of the three of them I”m pretty sure it’s the most important. Otherwise ‘continous therapy’ of religion is necessary

PUT A FORK IN IT. RELIGION IS BAKED.

I’m gonna call religion ‘baked’ and put a fork in it. It’s fully decidable now. So, that means, it took, from the early spring of 2015 to the late spring of 2017 for me to solve it. And that makes religion the most difficult subject I’ve had to solve among the disciplines and institutions. Truth was nowhere near as hard because mathematicians and computer scientists had done so much work, even if logicians really ended up in nonsense land. Of the three disciplines, only computer science refrained from idealism (platonism). But I was able to combine the work of a century of ‘thinkers’ to make testimonial truth possible.

OK. So the remaining work is just to finish the constitution (application of propertarianism, testimonialism, … etc) and then the really, really …. unpleasant work, is producing the examples of the more subtle concepts in testimonialism into an algorithm (set of steps) that are sufficient for the courts.

I don’t think I need to do that to publish. I think getting the ideas together is one job. putting the ‘courses’ together another job. And surrounding it with literary history in the Robert Greene model is last.

    MALTHUS WAS HALF WRONG

    (worth repeating)

The bottom is too heavy. Malthus was wrong. It is not that the numbers will defeat us. It is that the numbers of those lacking agency will defeat us because the cost of their transformation from animal to man is simply too high for the productivity available to them to be used to organize them into a voluntary organization of production, distribution, and trade, in the absence of technology and markets produced externally to them.

IT”S NOT SO MUCH WHITE AND DARK, AS SUCCESS AND FAILURE AT NEOTONY.

The european west and the han/japanese/koreans look very different but we have far more in common than we do with the steppe/desert/tundra peoples who are less developed than east and west.

I mean, fundamentally, caucasians branch just into two groups: the more evolved Neotonic northern with flatter faces and smaller noses and lighter hair, and the less evolved less Neotonic southern with pointier faces and bigger noses and darker hair.

I mean, the real problem if you want to get down to it, is that the east and west succeeded in neoteny and the center did not, for the simple reason that there were too many tribes in conflict, and the area was more suitable to the preservation of pastoralism, so the desert, steppe, and tundra people didn’t have as much time to go through the farming and commercial phases, shrink their underclasses, and succeed in neotonic evolutoin.

    I mean. They’re more aggressive. It’s simple.

Aggression and large numbers that live poor quality lives is a competitive advantage against less aggressive with smaller numbers that live better lives.

The american system of law differs a great deal from the continental in that we have almost no input limitations on our actions in exchange for requiring courts to decide conflict on outputs. The european system seeks heavy limitation on actions in order to minimize conflicts.

The american system is superior for the use of truth testing, since it is very difficult to regulate truthful speech going in, other than to test due diligence when conflict arises.

For this reason I would expect the continental (more restrictive because of high blame avoidance) and the russian (absurdly low trust) to be more resistant to the use of the common law to test the truthfulness of speech than under the anglo system.

RESTORING THE PRIVATE CIVIC, NORMATIVE, COMPETITIVE, ORDER.

Well, Yes, I am intentionally screwing with people by asking the question under the guise of church. Because I suspected the reaction I got. And therefore people are so anchored that it is impossible.

    2) If instead, I said, “If schools, in which we invest heavily in intergenerational activities, providing a service we cannot do without (education), shortened their school hours, but expanded their functions, so that they had a weekly ‘feast’ (food) after which they taught weekly family ‘lessons’ using the great myths and virtues in the form of literary interpretation; and served broader civic functions like fitness, registries of birth, property, and death; Credit Union with zero interest consumer loans; and armory of the militia; would we be able to restore the civic society with many such ‘shareholder organizations’? Secondly, could we repurpose our many declining and abandoned churches, and related property, for this purpose, to preserve their architecture?”

In other words, can we recreate the civic society out of multiple private institutions, that are necessary because they provide necessary functions?

Is this a possible institutional solution(normative government)

THE LAYER CAKE OF SOCIAL ORDER

    RELIGION

Religion evolved to provide understanding of the word, virtues to imitate, and general prohibitions, across clans, tribes, and conquered nations, so that people could cooperate more easily and retaliate (feud) less frequently.

    Weapon: ostracization (death sentence)

    Records: memory of locals.

    LAW

Law evolved to standardize punishments across clans, tribes, and conquered nations, to keep the peace, preserve productivity, preserve taxation, and legitimize (provide value by) rule.

    Weapon: violence, deprivation

Records: written ledgers of crimes and punishments.

    CREDIT

Credit rule evolved to increase productivity by the promise of consumption in the present, such that the primary form of social punishment was loss of consumption, status, and signaling.

Weapon: deprivation of consumption, status, and signaling.

Records: written and electronic records of creditworthiness.

    WHY IS HE POSTING THIS?

    London: One fire. 40 Trucks.

What happens when there are 40 fires?

Explosions are just drama. They occur and are over.

Fire keeps working for you as long as its burning.

Fire is the best investment in revolution.

Interruption of Roads, Telecom, Power, and Water provide the best discount on fire.

Explosions are expensive and a bad return.

Fire, roofing nails, a bit of chain, transformers, and ATM’s give amazing returns.

Five % of Americans fought in the original Revolution while the remaining Ninety Five % were pro Tory until it was safe to be otherwise. The largest Army that George Washington ever lead was 13,000 men and that was against citizens of the United States.

    Le fromage grande

We’re already in a civil war…it’s just that the lead hasn’t started to fly yet.

    Skitz00

There has been a slow-motion, incipient civil war going on since the sixties. The political left has pretty much taken over the education sector, the entertainment sector, the media and the judiciary. They have entrenched themselves in a “deep state”. This can only end in one of two ways: A nasty divorce or a shooting war and I don’t see a shooting war as very likely.

I think the country is heading for some type of breakup. To be honest, I’m not sure that is such a bad idea. Traditional America supports the Constitution as it is written, it supports the rule of law and the actual punishment of those who break the law, and it supports the protection of our borders. Leftist America opposes all of the above. How do you reconcile those two positions?

What’s the over/under on how many years (months?) it would take for leftist America to look like a third world nation? Just make sure to get it into the secession treaty: We are still allies but both side are on their own.

    John_33

The Civil War is currently a Cold War. Both sides know it. The question is whether this cold war will turn hot or if the Deep State will collapse first.

    Informed

At some time in the next year or two, we will drop into recession again. We are due. Our slow growth rate is making the run up before the next recession last longer. But, our economy is more constrained than ever by taxes, regulation, world competition and civil dysfunction, and growing mostly due to the use of more and more debt. Debt creates bubbles that leak and deflate. When the recession hits, deficits will rise above a trillion a year again. At some point, too much borrow and spend will result in rapid inflation and middle class savings and incomes shrinking in purchasing power. It is going to get ugly.
