(I am not a boomer. I am a “jones generation” (Gates, Jobs, Ellison) and like they, I was formed by the gasoline crisis, the movie ‘wall street’, the first personal computers, star wars, alien, blade runner, the launching of MTV, and the breakfast club. I despise boomer nonsense for the same reasons everyone else does. )

All sorts of groups develop protocols that make speaking truth to power devoid of blame.
Much of what we read in history developed for the purpose of using the safety of the sacrifice (shared meal), as a means to issue opinions without threat to the dominance hierarchy.

As someone else has said, disruption of the electronic benefits system, the ATM system, and Electricity alone, will drive most cities into devolutionary riot. The problem is, people think the next revolution is going to include groups fighting. it’s not. Its going to involve a series of short term sieges. Immigrant cities are just plantations of 200 years ago at larger scale. Meanwhile international events will seize the opportunity.

Russia is in a tough position.She is correct that the west has committed suicide by democracy. But Culturally she belongs with the west, economically with the oil states of the middle east, and politically with the Chinese. The problem is the Russians are Right, and We are Wrong.
