    Believe it or not, it is the single best operational security tactic you can make, because very few if any of us can remain on high stress alert for an hour without demonstrating avoidance behavior.
    It also guarrantees your time is not wasted by the organizers and staff of the meeting.
    It also guarantees that you have people’s attention when you arrive.
    It also exhausts peoples excitement in hoping to get your attention.
    It also buys you time to rehearse key points with your team without planning a session to rehearse key points with your team. I always role play meetings with staff before hand.
    I have practiced strategic lateness and voting with my feet if a meeting is ineffectual my whole life.
    While it does demonstrate power (value), its not an ego thing. It’s just what you learn after years of observation of people’s behavior.

    Thoughts while driving your Ferrari anywhere other than the open highway: (a) how to not go fast and get a ticket, (b) how to not get scratches, dings and accidents from idiots distracted by ogling, (c) how to not run over morons who stop and stare in the middle of the road, (d) how not to attract the attention of the mentally and emotionally ill when filling the gasoline, at a light, in traffic, or making a quick stop at a shop. … I mean, seriously, it’s an exercise in paranoia, offset only by the fact that every restaurant, bar, and club will give you a space out front because of the marketing value.

    The most difficult problem appears quite trivial. That is, do we and can we maintain the separation of civic education (religion) and economic education (the grammars of calculation), and craftshmanship (the trades), or do we restore the relationship beween civic education, economic eductaion, and craftsmanship? Because this turns out to be a rather difficult problem of converting the church, or converting the academy.
