    (LLM Tests)
    I still cannot find a competitor to GPT4 in the ability to conduct reasoning. All of them are bad. GPT is simply the least bad of them.

    I really do like the Dolphin uncensored as the future, mixtral is getting there, I use perplexity for research, and GPT4 for assistance with search and writing.

    I suppose if I wrote programming code (a via positiva) instead of legal pseudocode (a via negativa) then I might feel differently.

    So far, the AI’s are sh*t at predicting fields of possibilities, subjecting them to competition, and then using falsification, so that from that result they can reason.

    ARAB HETEROGENEITY
    A 2018 study of Arabs found that Peninsular Arabs genetically showed two distinct clusters and that Arabs in general can be genetically stratified into four groups:

    North African-Peninsular
    The first consisting of Maghrebi Arabs (Algerians, Moroccans, Tunisians and Libyans) along with the first Arabian Peninsula cluster, which consists of Saudis, Kuwaitis and Yemenis;

    Peninsular
    The second compromising the second Arabian Peninsula cluster consisting of Omanis, Emiratis, and Bahrainis.

    African
    The third compromising Sudanese and Comorians;

    Levantine
    The fourth consisting of Levantine Arabs (Palestinians, Lebanese, Syrians and Jordanians) along with Egyptians and Iraqis;

    The study confirmed the high genetic heterogeneity among Arabs, especially those of the Arabian Peninsula.;

    Yeah, I bet I’m not the only person who has sent Dr Taraban a text where the autocorrect transformed a compliment into an insult. 😉

    BTW: interesting name. See it in france. See it in north central USA. He certainly looks northwestern european.

    TARABAN SURNAME
    The surname “Taraban” has Eastern European origins, and it’s most commonly found in countries like Ukraine, Russia, and Poland. Here’s a breakdown of its possible origins and meanings:

    Ukrainian and Russian Roots: The surname Taraban is most prominently seen in Ukraine and Russia. In these regions, surnames often originate from occupational titles, personal characteristics, or geographic locations associated with the family.

    Occupational Origin: The term “taraban” in Ukrainian and Russian refers to a type of drum, similar to a tambourine. Therefore, the surname Taraban could have originally been an occupational name for a drummer. In historical contexts, drummers held significant roles in military and ceremonial events, making this a noteworthy profession.

    Linguistic Aspects: The word “taraban” is derived from the Tatar word “taraban” (тарабан), which also means a drum. This linguistic connection suggests that the surname might have Turkic or Tatar influences, reflecting the historical interactions and migrations in Eastern Europe.

    Variations and Spelling: Like many surnames, Taraban might have different spellings or variations depending on the region and the historical period. Variations in spelling can arise due to changes in language, migration, and transliteration from Cyrillic to Latin alphabets.

    Cultural and Historical Significance: Families with this surname might have historical connections to music, military, or specific regions in Eastern Europe. Surnames like Taraban can often provide insights into the ancestral occupations, social status, or geographic origins of a family.

    Migration Patterns: With the various migrations and diasporas from Eastern Europe, the surname Taraban has found its way into different parts of the world, including the United States, Canada, and other countries, often with immigrant communities.

    In genealogy, understanding the origin and meaning of a surname can provide valuable clues about a family’s history, cultural background, and ancestral occupation. However, for more detailed and specific information, especially about individual family histories, genealogical research including historical documents and records is usually necessary.

    (NLI)
    We state frequently that we have unified the sciences producing the WIlsonian Synthesis. However that is an understatement. Instead, we have unified the grammars of which the sciences are a subset, but those grammars (systems of rules of continuous recursive disambiguation) include more than the science – they include everything expressed by man from mytholigy and religion all the way to logic and computation (meaning operationalism).

    Our Fellow @bryanbrey and others have discussed variations on a theme, but these ideas are merely that – ideas.

    Certainly Doug from @RadioFreeNW in the northwest, and @Aarvoll_ in the south as well as others (not sure about eli harman) are all building communities.

    My position, and that of the institute, is that we need to win, because otherwise the enemy will eventually defeat all attempts at cultural preservation.

    So we focus on victory in toto, not the western equivalent of a Kibbutz. While we support others who have more tangible and immediate visions of creating political communities.

    I can see us creating academies or barracks (monasteries) to train people as did the jesuits, rather easily, and we have discussed this strategy quite a bit.
