    (FB 1545085047 Timestamp) I am pretty sure you are better off spending four years working on a project of your own, and publishing a few papers or a book about it than you are spending time in university. This is effectively what a PhD asks you to do, except your (scientific or technical) project, papers, and book have to survive market criticism rather than department criticism. It is easy to get a good job or career with that kind of evidence. Or put another way, university is an adequate clerical training program for those people who CANT produce their own project. Entrepreneurship is for people who don’t even need to do the project, papers and book. Entrepreneurship, Self Education, Good Education (STEM+L), Sh-t Education (Everything else), Going right to work (money and on the job training). Going right to work in the military( Training, Adventure, then money).

That stoicism[1] can provide mindfulness to those who lack that order is a solution to a problem. However, there is no substitute for a initiation in group of warriors (pack), and ritual thanks to a king, one another, ancestors, and nature. Sumerians first wrote down their religions in 3500 BCE and most political religions evolved evolved from competition with theirs. We see evidence if organized religion in Anatolia from 8–9,000 bc, predating stonehenge by 6000 years. It appears we developed religious practices (what we call sacred, but is more correctly, suppression of all self interest, status signal, and dominance expression ) no less than 40k years ago. There was our first and longest dark age around 20–21k bc. Then practices resumed, around 13k bc. it wasn’t that long – about 8000bc – until farming and farming creates folk religions in an and around anatolia -still burial focused. Around 5500bc the indo europeans developed sacrificial religion, and spread it – man now bargaining with the gods. And again, by 3300 we see the rapid development of political religion in every region of eurasia.
