I wanted to take home ec, so I could learn about running a household, and they wouldn’t let me. I took Marriage and Family in catholic school because it was REQUIRED. One of the most valuable classes in my life. Life is not obvious. They don’t want us running home to criticize our parents, to to be aware of our relative stations in life. But the truth is our parents are possibly competent and possibly not, and our stations in life are in our genes – with random chance the only thing that alters them. Home finance and investing. Managing a household Cooking more than boiling water. How to have a marriage that lasts – for each of the classes. How to raise any number of children and the value of it. And it is this battery technology that is the principle limitation on mechanical evolution. Hence why biological life forms are so vastly more complicated, but vastly more energy efficient. This is the problem. We used to prosecute women who were scolds the way we prosecute men who are violent. There was and remains a good reason for it.

And postmodernists, feminists, women, and the underclass are completely correct: they don’t have it. On the other hand, enough ‘men’ do if trained in what IS (the conservative empirical) rather than what SHOULD BE (the consumptive ideal), to govern in everyone’s interests despite the lack of agency by the vast majority of peoples. The question is why someone some group or some class would consider rule if one was in fact lacking agency — and worse, if both lacking agency and f–king aware of it.
