The game is that we must find ways to govern by limits without imposing on sovereignty. So where most civilizations and moral codes are constructed of via positiva directives at the cost of innovation and adaptation, while western civilization is constructed from via negativa prohibitions within the limits of sovereignty at the cost of people coming to harm from their judgements. We play a more complex game. Self Determination, Sovereignty, Possibility of Success or Failure, Status Rewards for Heroism with tolerance, even accolades, for failure for having tried.

Nationalism is the norm and it’s returning in force because (a) there is no possible replacement for the British-cum-American empire of the seas; and (b) because there is no longer any value to globalization of anything now that we have defeated all but islam, and dragged humanity kicking and screaming into the prosperity of modernity against their wishes. All that occurs with globalism is labor wage arbitrage when the fundamental problem is that there is almost nothing left to consume that we want to consume – except more time

That, and the disillusionment when you realize all that toil and suffering was for nothing were the worst parts for me anyway.”—
The other reason is so that we can mobilize en mass in the face of disaster – which we obviously can’t in response to (a) natural disasters, (b) this current epidemic – things which are organizational problems that are best solved through command and control. Kosminski was a Polish Jew who emigrated from Congress Poland to England in the 1880s. He worked as a hairdresser in Whitechapel in the East End of London, where a series of murders ascribed to an unidentified figure nicknamed “Jack the Ripper” were committed in 1888. From 1891, he was institutionalised in an insane asylum. Two different DNA studies, one in 2014, and 2019, on one the one piece of evidence we have – a bloody shawl – have confirmed the century long-suspicion that Kosminski is Jack the Ripper.

Mar 6, 2020, 5:09 PM Races aren’t smarter or dumber. Races, subraces, tribes, and clans have larger or smaller underclasses that shift the distribution downward, producing demand for norms at the median. The three exceptional peoples of modernity have merely culled their underclasses: Ashkenazi, Europeans, and East Asians by climate, farming, land provision, credit provision, war, disease, and prosecution of the undesirable. The question is why europeans are disproportionately more creative despite much smaller numbers, and this appears to be a combination of both genetic and civilizational causes.
