hmmm… Not quite.
The celts who originated in central europe, and mastered metallurgy, possibly via old europe (balkans) are culturally and linguistically distinct from the germanics who originated in the north of germany and southern scandinavia.
The westward expansion of the indo-european culture produced a horizontal distribution of cultures and languages and genetic subdivisions we still see today:
Anatolian, Illyrian (Albanian), Hellenic (Greek), Balto-Slavic, Germanic, Celtic, Italic (Or combined into italo-celtic).
