Blame TV and the entertainment sector because it absorbed all that time and energy that we previously devoted to family, friends, and socialization where we developed understanding and compromise with one another. Instead we live in a mental model of an artificial universe created by narrative media, trapped in artificially lit glow of media projectors.

@curtdoolittle If I understand correctly, men have a strong need to believe they can provide for a woman having children, know that they can carry that responsibility before they cooperate with a woman to have children together. So, culture needs to facilitate men becoming financially able.
