(FB 1552147611 Timestamp) By: Pat Ryan America expended its goodwill as the great equality experiment via democratic tradition during the two World Wars, ensuring the mythology was monopolized by grass-is-greener communism. …. America traded mythological hope for material justice. Guess when discontent institutionalized?

(FB 1552170333 Timestamp) —“Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Russian women for everything they do in life, like taking care of the home and staying beautiful. He made the remarks to a group of Russian female policewomen on International Womenâs Day, which was celebrated throughout the Soviet Union. âYou manage everything at work and at home, whilst staying beautiful, bright, and charming,â Putin said, adding that âIt is hard to imagine the history and development of our country without the contribution of the great Russian women.â âWhat does a young woman need to maintain her figure? Three things: a workout machine, a masseuse and a suitor,â Putin told the police officers. Putin also told the female police staff that when they patrol the city woodland parks, the number of accidents drops âbecause those who wish to commit suicide look at you and want to live again,â reported The Moscow Times. âTrue, it is a gift of nature, but you, dear women, multiply this gift a hundred times with your attitude to work and your dear ones,â he said. âYou are reliable co-workers and managers of great responsibility. You are capable of feeling the subtlest nuances and taking a competent and creative attitude to any undertaking,â Putin said. âIt is hard to imagine the history and development of our country without the creative contribution of the great women of Russia. These days there are no professional heights you are unable to achieve.â—

(FB 1552315925 Timestamp) ACCORDING TO RAND, WE ALWAYS LOSE In simulated World W
(FB 1552315925 Timestamp) ACCORDING TO RAND, WE ALWAYS LOSE In simulated World War III scenarios, the U.S. continues to lose against Russia and China, two top war planners warned last week. âIn our games, when we fight Russia and China, blue gets its a– handed to it” RAND analyst David Ochmanek said Thursday. RAND’s wargames show how US Armed Forces – colored blue on wargame maps – experience the most substantial losses in one scenario after another and still can’t thwart Russia or China – which predictably is red – from accomplishing their objectives: annihilating Western forces. “We lose a lot of people. We lose a lot of equipment. We usually fail to achieve our objective of preventing aggression by the adversary,” he warned. In the next military conflict, which some believe may come as soon as the mid-2020s, all five battlefield domains: land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace, will be heavily contested, suggesting the U.S. could have a difficult time in achieving superiority as it has in prior conflicts. The simulated war games showed, the “red” aggressor force often destroys U.S. F-35 Lightning II stealth fighters on the runway, sends several Naval fleets to the depths, destroys US military bases, and through electronic warfare, takes control of critical military communication systems. In short, a gruesome, if simulated, annihilation of some of the most modern of US forces. âIn every case I know of,â said Robert Work, a former deputy secretary of defense with years of wargaming experience, âthe F-35 rules the sky when itâs in the sky, but it gets killed on the ground in large numbers.â So, as Russia and China develop fifth-generation fighters and hypersonic missiles, âthings that rely on sophisticated base infrastructures like runways and fuel tanks are going to have a hard time,â Ochmanek said. âThings that sail on the surface of the sea are going to have a hard time.â “Thatâs why the 2020 budget coming out next week retires the carrier USS Truman decades early and cuts two amphibious landing ships, as weâve reported. Itâs also why the Marine Corps is buying the jump-jet version of the F-35, which can take off and land from tiny, ad hoc airstrips, but how well they can maintain a high-tech aircraft in low-tech surroundings is an open question,” said Breaking Defense. Meanwhile, speaking purely hypothetically of course, “if we went to war in Europe, there would be one Patriot battery moving, and it would go to Ramstein. And thatâs it,â Work complained. The US has 58 Brigade Combat Teams across the continent but doesn’t have anti-air and missile-defense capabilities required to handle a barrage of missiles from Russia. RAND also war-gamed cyber and electronic attacks in the simulations, Work said; Russia and China tend to cripple US communication networks. “Whenever we have an exercise and the red force really destroys our command and control, we stop the exercise,” Work said without a trace of humor. Beijing calls this âsystem destruction warfare,â Work said. They aim to âattack the American battle network at all levels, relentlessly, and they practice it all the time.â The Air Force asked RAND to formulate a plan several years ago to improve the outcomes of the wargames in favor of the US, Ochmanek said. âWe found it impossible to spend more than $8 billion a year” to fix the problems. “Thatâs $8 billion for the Air Force. Triple that to cover for the Army and the Navy Department (which includes the US Marines),” Ochmanek said, “and you get $24 billion.” Work was less concerned about the near-term risk of war, and he said, China and Russia aren’t ready to fight because their modernization efforts have not been completed. He said any major conflict is unlikely for another 10 to 20 years from now. He said “$24 billion a year for the next five years would be a good expenditure” to prepare the military for World War III. RAND offers a sobering assessment that America could lose a multi-front war in the future, which is quite shocking considering that the US spent nearly three times as much as the second biggest war power, China, did in 2017.

(FB 1552158788 Timestamp) ANOTHER TAKE ON THE IE EXPANSION Stage 1: “ORIGINATION
(FB 1552158788 Timestamp) ANOTHER TAKE ON THE IE EXPANSION Stage 1: “ORIGINATION” Some pre-IE languages are also indicated:
- Vasconic is tentatively associated here with Neolithic languages of Thessalian origin (my main working hypothesis). It would at the time be the largest European language family therefore.
- Uralic should be right north of the early Indoeuropeans, what explains their ancestral Sprachbund.
Pelasgian indicates the language of Vinca-Dimini (Grey Ware), which was a limited intrusion c. 5000 BCE with origins related to Tell Halaf most likely.
Stage 2: “EXPANSION” The main outline of the Indo-european expansion. Some other cultures and languages are indicated in gray colors for context. At this point we should have the seeds of: – Anatolian (Maykop) – Tocharian (Afanasevo, in Altai) – Indo-Iranian (Yamna) – Western Indo-european (Baalberge): a large subfamily that would give birth to Balto-Slavic, Germanic, Celtic and Italic. – Possible seeds of Tracian, Greek, etc. in the Balcanic Kurgans, an ill-defined group that would nevertheless plunder and radically alter the ethnic geography of the Eastern Balcans (see next map). Stage 3: “CONSOLIDATION” Some notes:
- The Anatolian branch goes into Asia with the Kura-Araxes culture.
The Eastern Balcans are divided between two cultures:
- Cotofeni, more purely Kurgan and a candidate for Greek origins
-
- Ezero, rather Dniepr-Don (â Sredny-Stog II) cultural inheritance. Surely proto-Thracians and hence a candidate for the origin of Armenian (via Phrygians).
Expansion of Yamna (proto-Indo-Iranians) and therefore liquidation of Dniepr-Don Neolithic
Consolidation and first expansion of the Western IE branch (Globular Amphorae). It may be important to note that in the BaalbergeâââGlobular Amphorae period, this Kurgan culture experimented various influences that may be considered Vasconic: the Danubian substrate, the powerful southern Danubian culture of Baden and the Northernly Funnelbeaker influence, associated to Atlantic Megalithism.
Stage 4: “COMPLETION” Setting the proto-historical scenario with some further expansions. Most notably:
- Corded Ware: a major expansion of the Western IE group to the West, East and North.
Vucedol: probably associated with the previous, eradicates the Danubian culture in their homeland (only Foltesti in Moldavia would survive for some more time within this important Neolithic macro-culture). Vucedol would be another candidate for Greek origins for their use of the architectural concept of megaron.
Catacombs culture’s origins are debated but it’s clearly Kurgan in any case.
Poltavka represents continuity with the seed of the Kurgan/Indoeuropean phenomenon and its later evolution leads directly to Indo-Iranians.
It should be noted that, synchronously with the Corded Ware expansion, the Megalithic bowmen of Artenac culture expanded from Dordogne, subsuming the last Western Danubian groups all the way to Belgium. This culture was probably proto-Aquitanian. A whole millennium of stability followed at the new Rhine border, crossed only by the likely traders of the Bell Beaker phenomenon. - Vasconic is tentatively associated here with Neolithic languages of Thessalian origin (my main working hypothesis). It would at the time be the largest European language family therefore.

(FB 1552423352 Timestamp) MERGED —“We used a new theory of the biological basis of the Big Five personality traits to generate hypotheses about the association of each trait with the volume of different brain regions. Controlling for age, sex, and whole-brain volume, results from structural magnetic resonance imaging of 116 healthy adults supported our hypotheses for four of the five traits: Extraversion, Neuroticism, Agreeableness, and Conscientiousness. Extraversion covaried with volume of medial orbitofrontal cortex, a brain region involved in processing reward information. Neuroticism covaried with volume of brain regions associated with threat, punishment, and negative affect. Agreeableness covaried with volume in regions that process information about the intentions and mental states of other individuals. Conscientiousness covaried with volume in lateral prefrontal cortex, a region involved in planning and the voluntary control of behavior. These findings support our biologically based, explanatory model of the Big Five and demonstrate the potential of personality neuroscience (i.e., the systematic study of individual differences in personality using neuroscience methods) as a discipline.”— Image revision by CD, above text by https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/0956797610370159?
