    This of course, is why the government’s search for pareto optimums, and biology and the market’s search for nash equilibriums are so different, and why Pareto optimums are so dangerous: the state produces ‘trigger events’ by some linear increase that produces a revolution: the exponential cost is too high and war or revolution is preferable to on more incremental predation.

    Libertarians still live under the delusion that the values of civility and non-combativeness are inherent to man.

    The reality is Western man is the only domesticated animal and even amongst our numbers there are jackals everywhere. And despite our domestication, the market for violence did not cease to exist.

    Our civility is part of a tradition that forgoes the use of violence only when we can be assured that our desire to cooperate can be reciprocated.

    ***This unwillingness to know man by what he will do given incentive rather than what he should do given incentive is a disease Marxists and Libertarians share in common.***
