  • How Can I Become A Libertarian?

Liber-TINES are under ideological pressure.  And their movement is an abject failure.

Liber-TARIANS (Classical Liberals) are at least if not more so fervent as they were in the past.

You cannot ‘become’ a political bias. It’s very likely a genetic preference that reflects your reproductive strategy. What you can “become” is an advocate of of libertarian institutional solutions (which require voluntary exchange) to problems of political cooperation.

Realistically, libertarianism is an anglo cultural phenomenon, and libertinism (rothbardianism) is a jewish cultural phenomenon.  Both of which rebel against the state.  The Anglo wing (classical liberal) seeks to preserve ‘rights as Englishmen’ under the common law, while preserving the civil society and the production of commons.  The jewish wing (rothbardian) seeks to escape obligations to participate in the civil society, and to prevent free riding upon the commons.

Both of these movements share only resistance to the state, since the anglo produces commons and the jewish is antithetical to the commons.

Realistically, historically, and logically, both strategies are reflections of group evolutionary strategy that assist each group in surviving competitors.  The main difference is that christians are land holders and must construct commons, and jews are diasporic and must escape paying for commons in order to concentrate capital in the minority membership.

Seen in this rather obvious light, these are not beliefs that are good for all, but strategies we justify because they are in our own interests.

So, how does one construct a high trust NEPOTISTIC, inbred culture, instead of a high trust Non-nepotistic, outbred culture?

Well, that’s very simple. Because organically evolving an institution is very different from intentionally implementing an institution.

As such, the rule of law, under propertarian property rights of property-en-toto, forces institutional development of high trust, while allowing nepotism to continue.

This is where we failed in the enlightenment. We didn’t understand….

    Skye Stewart

    You made me think.

Why does reading a novel ‘work’? Aside from the truth or falsehood, good or bad measurement, why do we learn from reading narratives?

Now, I am trying to eliminate deception in matters of public political speech – at least that kind of deception that was introduced in the 19th century by Marx, Boaz, Cantor and Freud, but expanded by Keynes and nearly the entire discipline of academic philosophy, psychology, and sociology.

But I don’t really attack mythology and religion. And I am perfectly happy with ‘rule of thumb’ science. It doesn’t appear to matter whether something is precise, scientific, and causally explicable if it empirically produces positive ends. It matters if something produces negative ends, is immoral (imposes costs).

So when I say that I am OK with imprecise IQ tests, personality tests, and moral tests, that is because the test data is not the output that is in question. It’s whether the individuals now possess a non-subjective means of categorization and comprehension.

In philosophical terms, it’s epistemelogically justificationary if I were to demand a high standard of good things. When the purpose is critical instead: to demand a high standard in order to advocate bad things.

    Thanks for provoking thoughts.

If someone Ridicules, Gossips, Rallies and Shames us as a means of obscuring their thefts and their lies, why are we not in the right to use violence against them? Isn’t truthfulness in argument required for us to eschew violence and enter into mutually productive, cooperative debate? Why can people attempt to create taboos to obscure their lies and thefts?

    HOW MUCH WOULD EVERYONE ?

If we took the total tax revenues, and distributed them equally to all american citizens, then how much would each of us receive? Or, think of it the opposite way: assuming that all of us paid equal taxes, how much would each of us pay per year (man, woman, non-working elderly, working, able to work but not working, youth and child?

    $10,000.

THE LIMITS OF REASON VS THE POWER OF OVERLOADING

How do we measure the limits of reason that can be exceeded by overloading?

Is it possible to create a normative (habituated) method of thinking that prohibits overloading?

Is a requirement for operational definitions enough to prevent overloading? I have been working under the assumption that it is. But the more I study the use of deceit by overloading, the less sure I am.

How do I develop a test of overloading?
