I have been busting my a– and my brain for the past two weeks and dammit this section of the work is … omg. Killing me. I just can’t narrow down the concepts into an incremental sequence that I think the audience can follow without having their heads explode…. Thanks for letting me think out loud. If my head explodes it will be really messy. Like that guy in Scanners. Ya know? Boom… and Michael Ironside makes that weird face and then expresses that look of evil joy afterwards… Anyway. Thanks for letting me think out loud. -

BOOK UPDATE Wow. So, splitting out the libertarian content into a separate book
BOOK UPDATE
Wow. So, splitting out the libertarian content into a separate book was incredibly successful. Right now it’s 220 pages. It’s a nice tight argument. Still a non-trivial read, but a tight argument.
The core of testimonialism/ propertarianism/ market-fascism(Markets in everything) is now around 100 pages.
Toying with separating out the cultural criticism content as well. That’s currently at 150 pages and I think it’s dead weight. Its better published later as a separate work where I’ve applied natural law to other cultures and religions the same way I’ve applied it to all ethical, moral, and political questions.
That will still leave me with a 600+ page book.
I don’t save much by separating out the revolutionary content, but I’m thinking that if I publish it separately and *later* then I can get very deep into strategy and tactics, but I dont’ ‘taint’ the major work.
Anyway. Just giving you an update.

BOOK UPDATE
Over the past three days I’ve separated out the libertarian-reformation content into a separate book. I found it distracted from the main argument, which is western restoration. So I have a separate book on reforming libertarianism into sovereignty. It includes all the criticism of Mises, Rothbard, and Hoppe etc. It’s a more manageable 150 pages or so.
And this allows me to shorten the main work. Which is enormous.
So Major book “Truth”
Minor book “From Libertarian to Sovereign”
And no, it’s not a big deal. From pretty much every standpoint, multiple books are better. And it takes less effort this way.

BOOK UPDATE: 510 PAGES.
Not even halfway there yet.
I want it to be easily readable, so I’m working with 12pt type, and 65 character lines. Plus lots of white space. And it’ll fit 8×10 or 8.5×11 pages.
I assume I’ll edit at least a third of it down.
But the first draft is … huge.

Book. Easily 500 pages. That’s what you see me posting images of. First chapter
Book. Easily 500 pages. That’s what you see me posting images of. First chapter serves as an overview of the entire program. Each other chapter expands on the program. The constitution concludes the work. Second on application to moral questions Lots of supporting stuff. Huge amount of content. I’m at 300+ pages now and I don’t think I’m halfway done. So the book evolves from an initial promise, to a table of contents out line, to an overview, to topic by topic coverage, to a constitution, to the reformation of the ‘fields’, to application to moral principles, and then to essays, quotes and glossary. etc.
Courses. I have the intro course content done and can now finish the overview content. Hard part remaining is teaching methodology. I was working on that for much of july.
Remaining work is largely methodology, selecting text to add to fill holes, and then we will have to all give it a review so that we find stuff that’s missing or unclear.
I can see the end so I am very excited.

BOOK STATUS UPDATE
– First draft back from editor who selected the articles.
– Now, formatting and fixing some grammar issues.
– Noticing some things are missing (esp “Signaling”).
– Some minor organization issues.
– Some definitions.
Otherwise it’s looking very good.
So basically, yes, you are going to get a “short” book this year.
And you will get the “long” book as soon as we raise enough money to hire additional editors to select the ‘readings’.

Going through my archives, finding my draft from 11/2/07. The outline and introduction are awesome. It’s amazing how consistent it’s been for ten years. Found a few things to bring forward that I’d forgotten. Really cool to see that much progress.’
