All political questions consist of trade-offs including risk vs reward. The illusion that compromise is always possible is just that – an illusion, a deception, a fraud, a pandering to our cognitive biases, and a means of using the dim, weak, and powerless to defeat their betters.

Martin is his own man. No one in this organization panders to me – at all. I did not create a this group to find sycophants, but talent that could use my work to further their own ideas. Martin has his own ideas. The primary difference is that I’m a bit more foolishly optimistic … and he isn’t. At all. 😉 I mean, Zero. 😉
The truth is I keep a few of these arguments with Martin alive with him for the sole purpose of teasing him – both of us knowing full well that he’s right. 😉
