Texas is the optimum secession focus because it has ports, oil, its own electrical grid, a central bank and treasury, and vast military resources. From there the entire center of the continent can be hollowed out. However, that’s unnecessary because one state will force reforms.

IMO the level of rage is focused on the election, and the possibiilties that emerge from the 6th and the rally on the 6th and whatever ’emerges’ from the events and rally on the 6th. Only after that opportunity is exhausted will the secession movement – texit – garner attention.
