We need to clean academic house in most fields, and we need to alter incentives for analysis, engineering, and design rather than financialization. And that competition within the states is going to be tough because money is going to keep flying to the states for the foreseeable future.

    The only implication I’m making is that without the incentives of the government the other incentives wouldn’t matter, so I suggest you are falling into conspiracy because it suits a secondary (even if meritorious) agenda, instead of the one in question.
    You are engaging in conflation and obscurantism instead of disambiguation and explanation. It’s probably subconscious but it’s also dishonest or at least untruthful.
    And if I can get you to understand, accept, and habituate that behavior, then I can help you improve your ability and persuasion for decades to come (which is why I do this kind of thing).

    Yes we can escape the cycle, (which is covered in my presentations this fall and in book 1 of the series we’re getting close to completing.)

    Laws and institutions do not always keep up with inventions in criminality, because our systems of identifying and measuring novel criminalities as they evolve from obvious to obscured, is a technology that must evolve in concert.

    Hence why I work on such a thing with such determination. 😉

    And we will continue to until we end the feminine – abrahamic – marxist – progressive – left’s attempts to use government to facilitate individual and collective irresponsibility instead of facilitate the maximum responsibility each can carry – which of course, will bring back the british awareness of class. Which we can then use to facilitate the needs of classes versus pretending we can all join the upper middle class – a lie which leads to the massive perception of either failure or being left behind.

    The secret to the west’s success versus the rest, in all three ages of history, is institutionalization of universal insurance of self determination by self determined means (freedom), by sovereignty in demonstrated interests (merit), and reciprocity in display word and deed (morality) requiring truth before face (reals over feels), while attempting to mature the emotional, weak, and fearful into adulthood to bear those responsibilities (paternalism).

    The progressive left tried to make domestication into oppression, and irresponsibility and face-before-truth into a norm – thus MATERNAL rather than paternal, and infantilizing rather than maturing. It failed. It failed just as abrahamic religions failed and gave us dark ages, the J-problem of organized crime against the hose, and the Muslim problem of warfare against civilizations that didn’t fail as they did.

    The purpose of freedom of speech is the preservation of the sovereignty of the people, both individually and collectively, necessary for self government under natural law (neutral), commonality in law (negativa), and concurrency in legislation (positiva).

    However as I have tried to emphasize of late, there is a difference between Truthful (Testifiable), Reciprocal(Ethical/Moral), Speech that Seeks to Understand, and facilitate the production of Settlement by Concurrency, and thus preserves the sovereignty of all, versus suggestion and manipulation that seek to deceive and deny commensurability, understanding, and capacity for Settlement by Concurrency.

    (Note: there is more political science in that paragraph than in all the volumes on the greco-roman, germanic, anglo american evolution of our civilization, government and law.)

    I think we would agree when we discuss the family and as a consequence ‘society’ (where the purpose of the commons is the raising of family, and not the maximization of individual consumptive hedonism), but that the treat to the political capacity and concurrency of the citizenry in democratic polities given the public’s suggestibility by manipulation and in particular undermining and trust destruction.
