Which term less misleading? We live in a republic or a democracy? Why is the left so devoted to inventing terms like melting pot? Or using democracy instead of republic? Or majority of americans instead of a consensus among americans? Because democracy always creates TYRANNY.

So with that knowledge, is claiming we live in a democracy, democratic republic, or concurrent democratic republic, or a natural law, concurrent, democratic, republic a means preventing the oft stated misrepresentation that we live in a democracy where majority grants legitimacy?

The point I was making is that the US is a concurrent democracy not a majority democracy, and a concurrent democracy requires a majority of minorities. Hence house, senate, electoral college for president. It’s designed to PREVENT majority democracy and a tyranny of the majority.
