UA has no incentive nor history of false flags where RU has a long history of, and incentive for, false flags. AFAIK UA/PL reports are that RU missiles are old and imprecise, and one – possibly shot down – aimed at UA border asset, crossed into PL territory.

Why is that hard for you to figure out?
USA would wipe out russian conventional forces worldwide in just a few days, leaving RU only with nuclear options. Proxy war via ukraine bleeds RU dry slowly, gradually increasing the possibility of avoiding escalation.
How hard is that?

Unlikely. RU is aware that nato would vaporize all ground forces outside of RU in less than five days. But nato doesn’t want to leave RU naked except for nuclear weapons. Instead, RU weapons are old and unreliable and this is an overshot. It doesn’t qualify as an attack on nato.

I doubt my point could be made effectively in a tweet – but it’s simply that moral conviction in politics, economics,and war is itself an asset that is a multiplier on existing resources. RU attack was obvious, UA conviction obvious, US/EU retaliation obvious. Iran and China too.
