4. There is no obvious plan of transition away from Putin that isn’t as bad or worse. 5. There is however a range of RU & US/UK/NATO options that will provide recovery (safety) for RU so that they don’t collapse. 6. I’ve written about these scenarios (Deals), and they’re viable.

1. Well, RU isn’t NK, Iran, or Cuba, and as odd as they appear to outsiders, they do follow procedure and law. It’s just an authoritarian system because frankly, that’s all they’ve ever had – b/c they haven’t transitioned to a middle-class majority necessary for democratic gov.

Not sure I see that. I see tech enabling a state cult (religion), and a managerial state on an Orwellian scale the soviets would envy, and the Chinese are pursuing.
Tech creates liberty for the able, and then is used to empower the state via the bottom against the able middle.
