I’d need a few examples. The effort to defeat the communists drove the strategy. So, I would see any of your observations in that light. ie: preventing communism from spreading to the arab world.

I’m not sure. AFAICT democracy is only possible as a result of windfalls that the people and government imagine will persist for more than a few generations – but it never does. So, the only solution is to create dynamic participation based on responsibilities.

In the past we have had the military the law and the faith (trifunctionalism). This does not require that we separate men and women but masculine minds (military) empirical minds(law) and feminine minds(faith). The problem is loss of both military AND faith AND law. 🙁
