The only way I see the west losing is because politicians used the peace dividend to spend on social nonsense, and not on inventories of sufficient weapons for a three-front war. It’s an Industrial capacity and velocity problem – just like the covid response was.

Correct. I don’t see reasearch on this yet but it appears that previous limits to economies, finanance, and political and military action are less subject to guesswork, and faster to adapt. So we aren’t done with this ‘age’.
