Did the majority of progress for blacks happen brefore or after the civil rights movement? And was the ‘great society project’ beneficial or harmful for the black family, the emerging black commercial class, and the emerging black elites?
In one generation slavery was economically unviable because of mechanization, and within one more generation the ability to survive by subsistence farming was nearly eliminated by mechanization. Was the civil war, that killed more men then slaves were imported to the states, really a good political decision? Or why not, like brazil did the government simply not pay for them and either repatriate or free them rather than war?
Has mixed education really helped? Has no fault divorce really helped? Have alimony and child support really helped? Did urban relocation of blacks to the north destroying our cities and their families really help? Did expanding immigration really help? Has export of our industrial capacity in exchange for lower prices really helped? Did the National Labor Relations Act really help or was it instrumental in the deindustrialization of the rust belt and the hollowing out of the middle and lower middle classes (working classes living lower middle class lifestyles).
Why do you assume you have even a tiny fraction of the knowledge and experience I do, rather than asking questions when it’s so obvious you don’t?
