Add to it that the disloyal, activist, self interested, credentialed elite with no real world experience workign on ideology are of course, both lacking in broader competence even if they have some domain competence, and worse, as the postwar era has come to an end, their promised career trajectory and their value to the people has come to an end. So just as the say, mainstream media is seeking to survive (especially newspapers and magazines that work on delayed publication schedules) and now the television (working on more delay than the internet and lacking the time spots necessary to do the better job that youtubers do for explaining the news), they ‘deep state’ is trying to hold on. And somewhat this is the conflict between the boomer generation that was optimistic and responsible, and the post-gen-x generations that are less optimistic less responsible and less competent. So their world view is much different.
