( recommendations: I tend to collect bibliographies from authors I learn from – particularly Haidt / Pinker / Fukuyama. The other thing I do that most of you won’t or can’t, is that I read anything I find economics or social science or hbd that produces any kind of statistics on anything I can make use of. I do less of it now than in the past. because I have too much work these days. but if you find a chapter in a book that’s good, it’s almost as good to find the referencees used for that chapter. Usually the ‘meat’ is in there. TIP: Papers are good for data and shit for ideas. Books are good for ideas.)

I am really really afraid of zombies. I mean, zombie doctors, lawyers, judges, politicians in particular. They can all hurt me. I cannot be in a position, ever, where I need approval of someone dumber than me. And unfortunately, in america, I often need approval or permission from someone dumber than I am. I can’t even go to a doctor outside of a research hospital. I mean… common people are nowhere near as scary as ‘the educated and unintelligent’. (Whatever Taleb calls them). I need a sign that says “I am an outlier”.

OMG. Compared to Seattle/Bellevue/Redmond, central Connecticut is akin to the dark ages of medicine. And for a guy on the aspie side, talking to doctors around here think as if drilling holes in skulls is a recent advance in medicine. Seriously. Provincial. Totally provincial. This is what people from NY and LA think about middle america. And in terms of families they’re wrong, but in terms of commerce, science, and medicine, they’re right. omg…. I just spent an hour talking to some overweight SJW who has never seen a serial entrepreneur, never read a bit of philosophy, and probably has a 120 IQ at best. One of the worst and most wasted hours of my life.
