  • Crossing Lines…

    There is a line between funny and witty, and another between witty and stupid, and another between stupid and aggravating. Do you know where those lines are? I do. Don’t try to be funny or witty unless you’re actually making some substantial point. Otherwise you just wasted seconds of my life to load, read, get exasperated, and delete stupid and aggravating… lol It’s costly to police a feed with 100 notices per hour. Besides, the statistical probability that you’re either witty or funny is nearly zero. (Except for Nick. We have to make exceptions for some of the Aussies. It’s a birth defect. lol )

    I jumped off a cliff into a reservoir and am floating on one of those plastic horse pool floats for children. Thankfully they have wireless here. So as long as I don’t get my computer wet, all I’ll get is sunburned….

    I am however, having some trouble keeping my balance on this thing….

    I am in West Virginia. There are men playing banjo’s in the distance. I think I saw a still somewhere.

    You mean you don’t believe I’m in a reservoire in west virginia on a childen’s pool float, typing on my computer, trying to keep my balance, so I don’t get it wet?

    FWIW: Google translate works fine for me in chat or posts, as long as you avoid idiosyncratic expressions. I know there are French speakers in particular in africa who want to speak with me. I am most comfortable in english, french, italian, german, and russian. But I routinely have conversations in chinese. (although the cultural barrier is higher).

    Guys. I can’t approve friend requests on empty profiles. I still have almost 200 outstanding. I can tell a ‘like mind’ in five seconds. I can tell a ‘softie’ who has potential. I have some people in Ghana who I’m afraid I’ll offend with my anti-abrahamism, so I’m slow with africans. I can get thru the muslims more slowly because I have to read a lot of their posts. I can’t do anything with an empty profile.
