Let’s see how this video on art works. If it doesn’t work, then I’ll find someone to make them with me by walking through the slides and making it more conversational – because that’s what I like as well. It makes i a lot easier for me to ‘envison the audience’.Dec 4, 2018, 2:00 PMTim Beckley-SpillaneThe solo vids have their own virtues tho, too- you’re more likely to stay on point with fewer digressions. They’re prob better for introductory material, as they give a firm foundation for understanding a given topic. The conversational stuff is great for further refinement of ideas and the usually less formal presentation. Also interesting as a window into individual specializations and larger group dynamics within the Prop circle.Dec 4, 2018, 2:36 PMIgor SurkanovWill you be growing a man bun?Dec 4, 2018, 3:18 PMKari Anne DorstadHi dear hugs π€Dec 4, 2018, 3:25 PMAndrea RoyallIgor- noDec 4, 2018, 5:01 PMCurt Doolittleum… what? https://www.dallasnews.com/opinion/commentary/2018/08/04/bring-back-home-economics-class-kids-lack-basic-life-skillsI mean, I took typing against advice of the school – one of the best investments of time I ever made. I wanted to take home ec, so I could learn about running a household, and they wouldn’t let me. I took Marriage and Family in catholic school because it was REQUIRED. One of the most valuable classes in my life. Life is not obvious. They don’t want us running home to criticize our parents, to to be aware of our relative stations in life. But the truth is our parents are possibly competent and possibly not, and our stations in life are in our genes – with random chance the only thing that alters them.
Home finance and investing.
Managing a household
Cooking more than boiling water.
How to have a marriage that lasts – for each of the classes.
How to raise any number of children and the value of it.
How to win friends and influence people – in different classes
The basics of law and contract law
How small, medium, and large businessse operate.
Basic Micro and Macro Economics
Statistics for Idiots.

(I dunno how other people do it, but I start with a drop of olive oil, add onions, garlic, bacon and celery – all chopped quite small, and cook them thoroughly, then add the diced beef and cook (fry) it nice and brown. I add the vegetable stock, sea salt, black pepper, parsely, a LOT of dried oregano, enough chili powder to get that chocolaty hint, but not enough to identify it, bring it to boil, add just a little tomato paste, the potatoes and carrots, and I cook it all, stirring frequently until the potatoes break down and create the thickness without needing to add flour. Then I slice the mushrooms and serve when they are done. If I am feeling a bit evil I add a bit of scotch to it – just enough so you aren’t sure what it is you taste. This all takes a bit. I sometimes add pasta shells, or serve over rice, or just serve with a slice of course bread. But it is awesome comfort food. If I had a garden again I’d add some finely chopped greens….. My intuition says that it’s the strange combination of dried oregano and chili powder with the boiled down potatoes and tomato paste that makes it ‘right’. Anyway. It makes managing this cold much more enjoyable. π )

UPDATE
So, I’m kind of blown away, but Bill Joslin has ‘arrived’ so to speak. He broke through last summer after a period of frustration – many of us cannot do it. He did. He did it out of his own will.
So, the problem is, how do we replicate this? I mean. How do we take those of you who are clearly promising, and help you? The only way I know is to fire up the classes and keep evolving from an Online Tutor, into a School. I think it’s one thing to do it as an individual on your own will. I think it’s another – and I think easier and better – if we do it as a group, feeding off each other.
What I have learned from watching all of you, is that it is extremely difficult to “solve for the true regardless of the consequences”, just as it is difficult to speak the truth regardless of the consequences. Because it is one thing to speak the truth regardless of consequences, and quite another thing to think the truth regardless of the consequences.
Those liars who have tried to destroy our people from within, might have provided us with the incentive we need to develop the LAW, SCIENCE, AND LOGIC needed to transcend from the merely moral by traditional intuition to moral by science, logic, reason, and education.
Bill has, Daniel has, and some others have suggested, that it is not stoicism we need to reconstruct – it is too vulnerable to turning left. Or as Butch and Eli would say “Cthulhu always swims left.” So we need something new.
And I think that is the next generation of our efforts.
