Father’s side is consistent: De Dolietta Avranches Normandy. I know they come over with the conquest, I forgot why Normans end up in Scotland, other than it was poor soil, and unconquerable. So short stint, then down to west midlands (I don’t know why but I do see records of land grants). Just rec’d mothers side documentation back to 1200, family name, Londres, same route, ending up in east wales. Then back to Normandy. Doolittles do not go back to Normandy. But both sides, in France and England, migrate during 1630’s, with French to Quebec, and English to Boston, and from Boston to New Haven and remain in CT. French from Quebec to Maine, to Connecticut.

The north sea was a saltwater lake where coastal peoples traveled faster and more easily than overland. The north sea, the Black sea. the Agean the Tigris-Euphrates marshes, the Nile, the Indus, the yellow.

    OOPS… FUNDRAISING TIME

Last time we raised a little money it was for just $100 in the spring when we had a shortfall. It only takes about $500 a month to run the institute, we have been about $100 short every month for a while, and we just paid all hosting and registration and other fees for the year and the treasury is … well … limited.

If you find value in our work, please consider a regular (small) or one-time donation via Patreon. We have some required legal expenses coming up shortly as we convert the structure of the institute. And the odd expense here and there.

Thanks as always for your support.

    OUR PATREON.

Yes, declines after 26 or so, and rapidly after 45 then more so in early sixties. I certainly notice it.

@curtdoolittle Curt how does ones ability to learn degrade across time? I remember mencius saying once that as he got older, it became much more difficult to learn more material and he tires quickly, is this true?

Philosophers are born I think. But they still must find a team to play on. Look at the Damned P-leadershp now. These guys are scaring me. It’s glorious. Luke is innovating and increasingly quickly. Brendon is increasingly judicial in his rulings. Martin … well, martin is that elegant balance of considerate, and correct. Alain is likewise, friendly and explicative. We see our Anonymous James back around here and there – and he is very likely, if he chooses, to run away with yet another level of sophistication. And I’m staring to see others come up now that are clearly trying.

Some days I just want to say fk it. Other days I wanna cry with joy that this kind of thing is even possible. I hope we have time. If we have time we will have our school that reverses the second abrahamic dark age of ignorance and deceit.

—If i wrote about Art, Fashion, Relationships and Sex I’d probably be happier and I’d sure have a lot more friends. lol If it weren’t for this damned political condition I would…—

It was one of the options. I started a relationship/fashion/art blog called “the market for affection” before I went overseas, bought a decent camera for street fashion photography. Unfortunately I started the business, and the political world turned hot, and .. well… the rest is history so to speak.

I won’t be able to write about hard stuff within ten years. I suppose that’s what I can write about then. 😉
