Walking through a London shopping mall staffed by people with black hair is more work than a fraternity gazing. Fuk.

FOUND A SECOND HAND SHOP IN A MALL TODAY? STRANGE
Anyway, they had an old royal navy uniform. Too small or I would have bought it.
They’re gorgeous.

I LOVE MY BETTERS.
Sorry, but I am perfectly thrilled to have betters. Here in London I see lots of them. And I am thankful for them. I like what I do. I am glad they do what they do. I can see the Dutch and German in them. They’re bigger, taller, and better looking than my little Celtic ass. Why anyone doesn’t want betters is beyond me.
What scares me is proles.
Especially in the white house.

I am not buying into the casual-dress-sweatpants thing. Sorry. I’ll do kilts, no problem. But no matter what you do, sweats are for warmth in winter, an easy day at home, or for the trip home from the gym.

“ANOTHER FRUIT SCONE?”
Omg. So I have a ‘Lviv’ roll around my middle that I”m trying to lose. And I don’t need a ‘London’ roll to match it.
(Oh ye of little willpower! Sigh.)

I LOVE MY TRIBE – REALLY.
And I only get to see others of the kind ‘me’ here in London. Although most of them are a lot taller, 15lbs lighter, and 20 years younger 🙂 I can tell the Scandinavians from the high, middle, and lower germans, from the celts from the lesser celts.
And frankly I am quite happy to be governed by my superiors. And there are people here of my tribe who are clearly my superiors (if not intellectually, certainly in every other dimension.)
But there is a distinct air of ‘pussy’ around the men of my tribe here that is not present in the States. Which, according to the stats, is reflected in performance in the sack. And there is more alcoholism here than I am conscious of among my tribe in the states.
But damn these men look good. Damn.
Better looking Ukrainian women outnumber their British counterparts by orders of magnitude. But I still love my tribe.

London is on par with Chicago for restaurants designed to make my people die of diabetes.

RESPONSES I OWE RIGHT NOW (THAT I REMEMBER)
I know I owe a number of you responses.
1) Analysis of David Friedman’s Machinery of Freedom. (I’m about a third of the way through the first draft. I understand what he’s doing. and honestly, it’s a pretty honest argument (unlike rothbard’s). He’s merely justifying personal libertarianism. But he isn’t depending upon pseudoscience or Kantian rationalism to do it. So my criticism might sound a bit hard on him, but of the libertarians he’s seemingly the best left standing. (Jose) But he is still a cosmopolitan at heart – not a land-holder.
2) Response to the difference between Aristocracy and the various forms of Republic. (Kyle)
3) Review of Matters of Democracy and looking at the subreddits for criticism of democracy (Angus).
4) Working on the demand curve for trust (Vincent).
I also have a lot of newer followers who haven’t been on the journey with me very long and It’s clear that I have to revisit some basic concepts.

LONDON BRUNCH AND RECOVERY
Had scones, coffee and poached eggs this morning. Scones were perfect. eggs were not made by someone from the first world, and certainly no one who knows eggs. But hey. It’s not Ukraine. 😉 Coffee shops in London are now as good as those in Seattle. Even if the SPACE is cramped and cleanliness is just …. ahem… not to Seattle standards.
Now I’m going to hit the recommended writing places. But I’m pretty sure that it doesn’t get better than the lounge at 5-star hotels. I just only brought casual clothes with me. Thinking I”ll hit:
– Starbucks flagship store London.
– Department of Coffee and Social Affairs
– Prufrock Coffee (And maybe take their barista training!!!)
– The Book Club (probably too hipster for me)
Funny how I get treated in shops when I dress down. lol. It’s awesome.
(Note to self: I have to find out why flying is so hard on my aspieness. It must have something to do with water. But I had to sleep almost 18 hours to get over a four-hour flight.)
Cheers.
